McLaren steers North America headquarters from New York to DFW

McLaren, the manufacturer of some of the world’s fastest and most expensive sports cars, will relocate its North American headquarters from a Manhattan skyscraper to a high-tech industrial park in Coppell, where the British company plans to accelerate into its next phase of growth in the U.S. market.

McLaren North America’s rapid expansion has necessitated the move from 4,500 square feet on the 24th floor of a downtown New York City office suite to a custom-designed 30,000 square foot facility at 1405 S. Belt Line Road in Coppell, said Tony Joseph, McLaren North America president.

The new facility will house about 30 McLaren North America employees, including Joseph, finance functions, after-sales, marketing and public relations, Joseph said in an exclusive interview with the Dallas Business Journal.

Sales and service training of employees from across North America will be conducted there, as will McLaren Special Operations, which refers to the customization of vehicles. The customizations previously were handled only in the U.K., Joseph said.

A fleet of vehicles for press and marketing purposes will also be housed in the Coppell facility, he said. Events will be conducted there, including “sneak peeks” of new vehicles, he said.

McLaren’s are great looking and look fun to drive.
Owning one is a different matter.
Reliability seems unbelievably bad even for a super car.

I LOVE Texas, but if it goes blue it will quickly become NY.

They need to leave their politics in New York. So many of the people moving into Texas are bringing their politics with them.

“They need to leave their politics in New York. So many of the people moving into Texas are bringing their politics with them.”

That is the disease that will destroy this country. Liberals base everything on feelings. Liberals can ignore reality if it conflicts with what they feel. So, the reality that leftist policies destroy is lost on them. Those that can flee, will, and when they infest a healthy location, they will burn it down with their liberal voting.

Once the public schools were taken over by the left, it was game over.

Smart move on McLaren’s part. Texas is quickly becoming the business capital of the USA.

All of the border counties in TX are already blue. And the big cities, of course.

Texas is quickly becoming the business capital of the USA.

Not if the Democrats get their hands on it.

Would folks kindly keep in mind the vast majority of NYS’s counties are red.

The people we know who’ve bugged from here are consevatives. Our loss is their new states’ gain.

Coppell - home to the great Hard Eight BBQ. My first stop whenever I am in Dallas.

I’m hoping they’ll open a factory outlet store. I’d take a McLaren with a couple factory defects...like say...a crooked hemline in a leather seat, or maybe a scratched exhaust pipe.

I don’t really think a NY conservative is quite the same as a Texas conservative. those from NY are, I fear, farther to the left, than those in Texas. JMHO

Pard, it’s tough being a conservative in NYS. Between our pols, our media, our educational system, our religious institutions making our lives a living hell, we’ve got folks who don’t know us from Adam’s house cat telling us we ain’t conservative enough.

[[I don’t really think a NY conservative is quite the same as a Texas conservative.]]

You are right. We are constantly at the front lines getting pummeled day in and day out by the lunatics in our midst.
