Brexit: Scottish judges rule Parliament suspension is unlawful

Boris Johnson’s suspension of the UK Parliament is unlawful, Scotland’s highest civil court has ruled.

A panel of three judges at the Court of Session found in favour of a cross-party group of politicians who were challenging the prime minister's move.

The judges said the PM was attempting to prevent Parliament holding the government to account ahead of Brexit.

A UK government appeal against the ruling will be heard by the Supreme Court in London next week.

The Court of Session decision overturns an earlier ruling from the court, which said last week that Mr Johnson had not broken the law.

Did not the Queen approve? Do these judges think they outrank the Queen?

And why does the Scottish judiciary have jurisdiction over all of Britain?

And why does the Scottish judiciary have jurisdiction over all of Britain?

Why does each US federal judge think he has power over the whole US government? Because nobody has slapped them down. Yet.

It does not matter.

The Brits are done.

406,000 Americans died in Europe during WWII, preventing the Germans from enslaving the Brits and the French. Now the Brits are determined to be enslaved without a shot being fired.

What a dishonor to the 460,000 and their families.

What a disgrace to the honor of the British.

There are a few truly great Brits living today but they are overwhelmed by the idiots.

Should have been 406,000.

I am sick of all these UN-elected judges have more power than ELECTED administrations. Where in the US constitution it says judiciary is the final arbiter of issues?

There, like here, nobody seems to use lampposts. The EU remainers seem willing to push this until their is real bloodshed. There probably aren’t enough freedom loving Britains left to take up arms, but there need to be or Britain is going to become a vassel state of the EU.

Since the cemetery is the only place anyone ever needs Arlen Spector to be, they got him a nice location at Shalom Memorial Park, Huntingdon Valley, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, USA.

Clearly they do.

We voted leave, the government is trying to leave. The Parliament and the establishment is trying to stifle it but they are trying to avoid an election because they know its over when we get the opportunity to vote them out. Brexit is going to happen, this is just the last, desperate gasp of an establishment that for once is not going to get its own way.

Yes, they apparently passed a law several years ago creating a kind of Supreme Court, the decisions or orders of which do not need the approval of the Queen. It’s modeled on our system of out of control judges.

I don’t know which party’s dumb idea that was, but I think this may be the first time it has actually been used.

Agree. Stick a fork in “Great Britain”.

In the span of one lifetime, it went from a geographic and cultural empire to a shabby little Islamified and thought-policed province.

I thought the queen said it was OK. Wouldn’t that overrule everything else?

Maybe it’s time for another Guy Fawkes and Robert Catesby to step forward.
