Full title: Trump jubilant in tweet blitz over NC victories, calls it ‘big night’ for Republicans

President Donald Trump launched a tweet blitz overnight Wednesday to celebrate party victories in two North Carolina races for U.S. Congress, calling it a “big night for the Republican party.”

Republican Dan Bishop won a tight District 9 race and Republican Greg Murphy was victorious by a wide margin in the state’s 3rd Congressional District, the Charlotte Observer reported Wednesday.

Trump visited North Carolina this week to stump for Bishop, and seemed to take particular pride in defeating Democrat Dan McCready.

“Dan Bishop was down 17 points 3 weeks ago. He then asked me for help, we changed his strategy together, and he ran a great race,” Trump tweeted.

This was not the top headline today for the News and Disturber. Had the victory gone to the Dem, we know it would have been the leading headline - "Trump is Defeated in NC".

But at least they reported the fact that President Trump was "bigly" triumphant over the election victories (both about Bishop especially but also about Murphy).

Good article and videos at the link.

"Dan Bishop was down 17 points 3 weeks ago."

I'm not saying Trump's rally didn't help, but that poll was almost certainly fake.

When I went to bed last night, McCready was ahead. What a great thing to wake up to.

“Dan Bishop was down 17 points 3 weeks ago...”

I don’t believe that for a freakin minute. Just more erroneous, fraudulent bogus polling as in 2016. In all likelihood Bishop was down 3 maybe 4 points and the late deciders and the Trump/Pence effort pulled him across the finish line.

Yes he was the difference. I am convinced Bishop would have lost if the President had not come to Fayetteville and held that raucous rally the night before the election.

President Trump should be jubilant! He deserves our praise for his u untiring efforts on behalf of conservative Republicans!

It was a great time here on FR last night!

Bishop started out way behind (and, silly me, I was discouraged) but gradually throughout the night the vote kept bringing him closer and closer until he led the race.

What a GREAT, SWEET Victory! And what fun being here to share with FReepers the Win!

And no carloads of missing votes have been found yet?

Nope = one precinct was allowed to stay open past the closing time but that was actually done by request of the Republicans because that precinct had moved its voting place and the Repubs said the voters didn’t know where it had moved.

The margin of victory turned out to be too large for even the Dem cheaters to overcome.....which is a pattern for all of 2020 elections to copy.

Whether or not it was fake, there were many folks who aren’t news freaks, who would have believed it. Trump’s rally changed the trajectory of the campaign, and turned people’s thoughts toward the 2 Pubbies.

More from the News and Observer Article - includes another Tweet from President Trump:

Political analysts across the nation saw the District 9 race between Bishop and McCready as a test of Trump’s popularity. The outcome was also predicted to be a hint of things to come in Trump’s 2020 presidential race, which kicks off in Charlotte at the Republican National Convention.

Bishop led McCready 50.8 percent to 48.6 percent in the race, with 99 percent of the precincts reporting, the Observer reported. The margin of victory was much bigger in the 3rd Congressional District, with Murphy defeating Democrat Allen Thomas by 62 percent to 37 percent, the Observer reported.

“The Fake News barely covered the race,” Trump tweeted at 1:45 a.m about Murphy’s win. “The win was far bigger than anticipated - there was just nothing the Fakers could say to diminish or demean the scope of this victory. So we had TWO BIG VICTORIES tonight, Greg & Dan!”

Donald J. Trump

Bishop won because African-Americans stayed home in large numbers, and did not vote for the Democrat, Socialist, Communist, Scum & Vermin filled, hate America, Dan McCready!!! American Blacks are realizing that Democrats led by Barack Hussein Obama have ignored them for many, many years!!! The Trump rally in Fayetteville, North Carolina was peppered with plenty of folks of color, Black, Hispanic, Asian, Indian, etc. Case closed!!!

Yeah, but they made it all about his so-called “widely hated, bigoted and uninformed” tweets.

Which, as the Never Trumpers keep reminding us, he must stop doing because it turns everyone off.

Did Obama and Oprah campaign for the Dem candidate or was it one of the pop singers.

The LameStream was desperately trying to spin this last night saying that the “weakness” in the ‘burbs was a “troubling sign for the GOP”. Keep trying, bozos.

Don’t know who actively campaigned for the Dem but whoever did they were nothing compared to our magnificent President and his untiring efforts on behalf of conservative Republican candidates.

The TV ads for the Dem portrayed him basically as what a Republican candidate would have been like - but President Trump clearly defined the Dem as a Pelosi puppet - which he would have been.
