FEMA Regional Director Asha Tribble, Cobra Acquisitions President Donald Keith Ellison, and former FEMA staffer and then Cobra employee Jovanda Patterson arrested in the mainland U.S. for fraud and bribery related to the reconstruction of the Puerto Rico electrical grid after Hurricane Maria.
Basically, the FEMA and former FEMA officials accepting or offering bribes for favoritism in the awarding of reconstruction contracts.
No Puerto Rican officials appear to be involved.

Obama changed a lot of political appointments to civil service positions so he could stuff those positions with flunkys and they could not be fired by the next POTUS.

In a sworn declaration, an FBI agent stated FEMA officials “should not be in direct contact with or advising contractors” that vie for government-funded projects.
Leone said the case is really about a close friendship that developed between Ellison and Ahsha Tribble, a FEMA deputy regional administrator who was sent to Puerto Rico to oversee power grid reconstruction after Hurricane Maria. Tribble is under investigation on allegations she diverted contracts to Cobra and was placed on administrative leave in May, according to the Wall Street Journal.
Leone said he interviewed witnesses and conducted his own investigation, which found several allegations involving Ellison are based on hearsay, including a false story about Ellison giving a Tribble a helicopter ride to a casino.
“There was no helicopter ride,” Leone said. “This was just gossip.”
If the affidavits are unsealed, Leone predicted they would be full of rumors and second-hand accounts.

Dr. Tribble was almost certainly a conduit for passing disaster power grid funds back to an account from which payments were made for the Obama Nantuckett mansion

Listen to what’s going on here. The democrats have been accusing Trump of abandoning Puerto Rico, but it was THEM who made a stink about the previous electrical grid reconstruction company, tying it to Trump, hasting the cancellation of the original contract and handing it to Cobra, who now stands accused along with an Obama appointee.
And in the meanwhile, our misery on the island was extended by months if not years! It is the democrats, led by Luis Gutierrez, who abandoned Puerto Rico!

THOSE people are as pure as the driven snow and are victims, probably in line for reparations and restitution. Every single one of them.

“Never let a crisis go to waste”.
IOW, the funding was going to be wasted on the P.R. disaster and the people on the island, so, it was up to democrats to take advantage.
Puerto Rico remains in dire need, and that’s a crisis that the democrats will “continue to continue” and take advantage of.
