Ex-South Carolina Congressman Mark Sanford Announces Republican Primary Challenge to Trump
16:40 08.09.2019(updated 17:16 08.09.2019)
In July, US President Donald Trump officially launched his re-election campaign for the 2020 presidential election during a rally in Orlando, Florida.
Former South Carolina governor and congressman Mark Sanford stated Sunday that he would challenge current President Donald Trump during the Republican primaries for the 2020 presidential election.
"Im here to tell you now that I am going to get in," he told Fox News.
The announcement comes a week after Sanford hinted that he could enter the presidential race. The lawmaker, however, will face a tough battle as Republicans from Kansas and South Carolina have already decided to cancel primaries in their respected states.
Additionally, according to recent polls conducted by Morning Consult company, Trump enjoys 85 percent of Republicans' support.
Besides Sanford, former Massachusetts governor Bill Weld and former member of House of Representatives Joe Walsh are also challenging Trump for the Republican nomination.
“Im here to tell you now that you’re gonna fail - bigly”
lol
People trying to make a name for themselves by attacking their party’s President
smh
Has he been to Argentina lately?
.
I guess he will claim the moral high ground. I mean all he did was abandon his wife and kids, lie to everyone in the State of SC about his “hiking” trip and betray the trust many of us had in him. All this to pursue his soulmate that he ultimately abandoned, also. He can pound salt for all this South Carolinian cares.
yawn
President Trump should just Totally ignore all these GOPe/lib ankle biters.
Another desperate loser and has-been trying to appear relevant.
<< Trump enjoys 85 percent of Republicans’ support. >>
A number that Kristol and his gang of fellow-traveling globalist NeverTrumpers will never be able to overcome. Their wing of the GOP is dead; theyre just too afflicted with TDS to see it.
Will his headquarters be on the Appalachian Trail, or Buenos Aires?
What a frikkin’ jackass.
Unprecedented hypocrisy and proof we are dealing with a deep state uniparty
Ex-South Carolina Congressman Mark Sanford
“Ex” for a good reason
Need that pic of Bruce Willis: Welcome to the party, pal!
I predict he will be out of the race real fast.
94% of Republican voters approve of Trump. Where will anybody else get enough money to make a lasting impression?
Ironically enough, there was another post where the Republican Party of his own state of South Carolina was trying to skip the primary session altogether in order to simply throw all its weight behind Trump.
Where does this idiot think he will have a chance?
It’s something that is supposed to enhance his reputation. He can claim to have been a “presidential candidate”. This is supposedly helpful for when he writes a book, and/or gets a gig on some cable news channel.
These guys do not believe they have a snow ball chance in hell of actually getting the nomination.
The same is true of the clown car of Democrat candidates. Most of them know deep down they have no chance at getting the nomination. But it enhances their resume, for the same reasons, for when they write books and get a gig on MSNBC.
As Governor, the guy disappears for almost a week, doesn’t answer any calls, and no one knows where he is. When he finally decides to return, he claims he was on a hike in the Appalachian Trail, and oh, the best part, he’s been having an affair with some Argentine dolly, and leaves his wife and kids.
Mark McMuffin Sanford. Sorry, couldn’t resist knowing he’s another of Bill Kristol’s buffoons being thrown out there by the Deep State to try and stop Trump!
The guy needs to work on his decision-making skills that’s for sure, but definitely not while President of the United States.
