Former Mayor Rudy Giuliani on Friday said “it breaks my heart” to watch how the city’s quality of life has plummeted under current Mayor Bill de Blasio.

“Fox & Friends” host Ainsley Earhardt started the ball rolling, telling Giuliani, ”I’m a Christian. I love everyone, and I love him, but I don’t like what he’s doing for this city and that worries me. When I moved here everyone said you cleaned up Times Square. I don’t want it to go back to that. How do you feel about Mayor de Blasio and the direction of this great city?”

“It breaks my heart,” a somber-looking Giuliani responded without hesitation.

“I worked tirelessly to do that. A lot of my friends told me I couldn’t do it. A lot of my friends told me I was crazy to run for mayor.

NYC got what they voted for. A pure COMMUNIST/SOCIALIST.

Wouldn’t surprise me if he got re-elected. That’s just how stupid they are.

Well, isn’t he on his second term already? I don’t recall any term limits for mayor of NYC. Bloomie served three, if memory serves.

Yup, and that is why many call democrat voters “dummycrats”.

Go #### yourself and throw another group into one bucket.

I’m from Staten Island and I’m just as conservative and I’m pretty sure as smart as you.

Arrogant prick hick.

Giuliani must have missed Tucker Carlson last night. Tucker had a long interview with de Blasio who explained that everything is wonderful in New York under his leadership--best it has ever been.

Why de Blasio isn't leading the polls for the Democratic nomination is beyond me.

Er, sorry about that.

I WISH we weren’t part of NYC but we are.

But NEVER mistake the cesspool and liberal garbage of the other boroughs with that of the South Shore of Staten Island.

Again, Sicilian temper got the best of me.

Apologies.

He won reelection. Supposedly NYC has term limits but Bloomberg illegally took a third term so who knows?

NYC is pretty much a one-party city. The winner of the Dem primary is very likely to be elected, and a Dem mayor isn’t going to lose the pirmary.

New york used to have a 2 term limit on its mayor. But the city council lifted that term limit during the bloomberg administration.

True story, I lived near New York City for over a decade, it was always messy and dangerous as a kid. Even later as a young adult on New Years, WILD times but still had to be careful. Then years later my wife and I visited for a wedding. It was Guiliani’s New York City. It was flipping Disney World.

Everyone we met was in a good mood. We walked everywhere with no issues, people ready to offer directions or talk about something. We took a bus from a major church we stopped at. The bus driver was a black lady with a very happy smile. She sang, literally “good morning!” And we said the same back, smiling.

The bus was a mixed crowd outfit and race wise. At the next stop all seats were full and I offered my seat to an elderly black lady who smiled and said “Thank You”. I turned around and the young black men on the bus had already offered their seats to elderly or women. The bus driver was going full Mary Poppins by now and singing, I kid you not.

We went to China Town to buy cheap knock off purses for my wife and her family. The place had cops watching around every block. We felt very safe. We went into 10 shops and without any hesitation when we asked for “brand” purses the owners would open up secret doors that would bring you to their knock offs. There was usually one or more person already looking inside. It was...casual. The cops had to know but they were just watching for thugs, I guess. Maybe that was a good beat for “tips”? We just smiled and rolled on.

The whole trip was just amazing. My wife had been to NYC as a teen but never experienced it like we did. We only stayed for a few days but it was like a Disney World version of NYC at EPCOT or something.

I hate to think it went back to what it was when I was younger.

Bill just did everything he thought was the right thing to do as a “progressive”, and that should give everyone pause.

Yes, there are a lot of Conservatives in NYC and even in California. Problem is there is just not enough of them.
