Former Vice President Joe Biden's left eye appeared to have a blood vessel burst while he was participating in CNN's town hall on climate change.
Biden has long been plagued by health issues. In 1988, he suffered an aneurysm that burst and required him to undergo emergency surgery. The then-senator was so close to death that a Catholic priest began preparing to administer the sacrament of last rites.
Months later, surgeons clipped a second aneurysm before it burst. Biden then took a seven-month leave from the Senate following the surgery. He’s described the operation as “they literally had to take the top of my head off.”
Doctors removed a benign polyp during a colonoscopy in 1996. In 2003, Biden had his gallbladder removed. He also suffers from asthma and allergies, and takes a prescription drug to lower his cholesterol. He has also taken medication for an enlarged prostate.
Biden hasn’t disclosed his medical history since 2008 when doctors found he had an irregular heartbeat.

He didn’t run in 2016 because HILLARY. His time has come & gone. He could have won against Trump, but they all thought Hillary would win and gave her the nomination. He’s TOAST!

“stick a needle in my eye”
I get an intra-ocular injection about every 3 months for a branch retinal vein occlusion(RVO). Its not a horrible process to be stuck, thanks to numbing eyedrops, but expensive (1/2 cc of the magic drug retails over $3000).
Doc is cranking out at least a half dozen injections per hour every hour he is in the office. I almost always sit in line for this pleasure.
Every now and then the injection catches a capillary on the way in, and the result looks like that Joe eye. That happened to me once.
However, if that bleed developed spontaneously while he was on stage, that’s an old horse of a different color.

How many times has this happened to you? You’re standing up in front of the cameras, lying your a$$ off to take in the rubes, when suddenly your eyeball turns red and you can’t remember on whom you last pinned a silver star or when. But now thank goodness for...for...Philips Milk of Magnesia?...No...Ritalin?...No......VIAGRA!...No...oh, well. Whatever. Good luck with that. Want a silver star?

While I don’t like Biden on a political level, this is really no big deal from a medical perspective. It looks like Hell (or that he’s from there), but the reality is that this is a simple burst blood vessel in his eye - and all of that color is from just a few drops of blood.
I’m 58, and I had very dry eyes last summer...and at one point I felt a sting... and then someone told me that my eye was all bloody. It looked just like Biden’s eye - and that cleared up about 75% in a couple days, and fully in less than a week. Biden is probably on blood thinners, which makes events of this type more likely. Still, it really isn’t a big deal.
Bad optics is bad optics.
He is finished.
Reminiscent of when Bob Costars had pink eye at the 2014 Olympics.
