The shooter Seth Ator had been calling the FBI and police for years and leaving incoherent messages before the mass shooting.

Sounds a little like that punk Nicolas Cruz in Broward County, FL, who’d had numerous brushes with that county’s sheriff’s office, yet that lazy, fat-assed “sheriff” couldn’t put 2+2 together enough to head that guy off. Here, we have slovenly cops and FIB types who couldn’t bother to check this more recent guy out.
“They probably thought he was just a future Democratic Presidential primary contender off their meds that day... ;-)”
Or they have a division to handle assets such as these.
“Unfortunately” a hurricane made bigger news this time.
So much for red flag laws. So much for gun control. So much for FBI competence. It’s become a pattern over the past decade; namely, the FBI was warned about a shooter’s intent and did nothing.
Tell me again, why do we even have an FBI? To spy on us? To plot the overthrow of the government? To harbor criminals? It’s surely not to protect us or capture the bad guys.
Nice. I had to read more posts before responding.
No doubt there are more are out there awaiting activation.
Sounds like law enforcement missed a lot of red flags.... again. The kid who killed two dozen Parkland, FL kids had been contacted over 40 times by police. The Army failed to record the fact that the Sutherland Springs, TX killer of 27 had beat up his wife, a felony, which meant that he could buy his guns to kill church goers.
The government does a lousy job of preventing crimes. Just watching the news tells you that. Anything they propose will only take freedom from law-abiding citizens.
So he kind of snuck up them... Sad!
This is sad and yet when I read who he called, I had to laugh out loud.
Similar to the shooter at Parkland. The FBI knew about him for a long time, but ignored the threat.
Laz, we need another one of your handy flow charts.
NO, we almost had one of our veterans go to prison for 10 yrs cause he took ambien to sleep and had some drinks also, got up in sleepwalk and shot his rifle in the air in his driveway, with neighbors in yards close by.
This guy was shooting in his NEIGHBORHOOD..animals, and in the air. He should have been I jail and prison...after many episodes of this.
Unfortunately, being crazy is not illegal.
Apparently the guy was “Red Flagging” himself and it did not work.
So much for Red Flag laws.
.
He lived in west Odessa. It is not inside the city limits.
It is perfectly legal to discharge a firearm there, provided you arent shooting someone elses property or a person.
Incoherent? Like without a dictionary?
I corrected your post for grammar and punctuation.
