NYC had a law that was supposedly draconian: Have a gun it’s automatically a year in jail - problem was, it was the first thing that was plea bargained away.
Contract our prison system out to Peru, Turkey, Brazil, or any number of third world countries. That will solve the problem overnight.

All well and fine, but many of these shooters are suicides that want to go out with a bang. Tougher jail sentences will not deter them.
There should be zero gun control laws. They cause a little bit of crime but basically have nothing to do with it.
Check out Victorian England. Very near zero murders and armed robberies and no gun control at all.
Mexico with all kinds of draconian gun controls and extremely high crime and murder rates.
It is all about morality and decency.
I don’t know the immediate (legal) solutions. Only that we need a spiritual overhaul of the culture which obviously can’t take place overnight.
But it’s good that conservatives are even THINKING of ACTIVE solutions. Just being on the defensive is going to give ‘moderate ‘ Dems the win in major swing districts and gun rights will go away to the point of no return. Simple as that.
The author leaves out one very important way to reduce crime: Allow married couples to live in public housing and draw government benefits while they find better jobs. The lack of a father figure in black families is the main culprit in many black on black violent crimes. Young men with fathers in the house, not just mama’s latest boyfriend or baby daddy, do better in school, get into less trouble, make higher grades, have better self esteem, are less likely to get involved with drugs, and are less violent.

Fatherlessness isn’t just an inner city problem as the well to do suburban shooters of Newtown, etc...also had broken homes/absent fathers.
It should make no difference to the law whether you use a gun, a hatchet, a bomb or arson. Murder is murder.

This is timely. Last week I decided that I would tell the next Gun-grabbing Libtard to suggest more gun control to STFU until sanctuary cities stopped protecting violent illegal alien felons. This was in response to Katie Steinle’s killer getting his one conviction overturned on appeal.
I suggest a tribunal that allows due process.
If a person is clearly identifiable on video taking lives and is arrested on scene, let the video and the witnesses rule the day.
Take the shooter out on the next day, line them up against a wall, and end it.
Give it three or four days max.
Limit the ability of attorneys to game this process.
Only if it is cut and dried, should the perp be handled this way, but when it is, eliminate the perp ASAP, and on television.
