Trump Has the Right Strategy on Bejing. As a Chinese Dissident, I’d Know.

As the world watches President Donald Trump wage a protracted trade war with China, many people are scratching their heads, wondering if he knows what he’s doing when it comes to my home country. Mr. Trump is regularly criticized for being unpredictable and erratic — praising Chinese President Xi Jinping one moment, then escalating the confrontation the next — for ignoring diplomatic conventions, and for upending a tense but supposedly workable economic relationship.

But as someone who has spent years with the knife edge of the Chinese Communist Party bearing down on my throat for my human rights work, I know that the president is on to something. Tariffs and economic threats may be blunt tools, but they are the kind of aggressive tactics necessary to get the attention of the CCP regime, which respects only power and money. It’s not just about “winning,” as the president sometimes puts it, and it’s not simply about trade: It’s about justice, and doing what’s right for ordinary Chinese and American people.

Presidents before Mr. Trump naively believed that China would abide by international standards of behavior if it were granted access to institutions like the World Trade Organization and generally treated as a “normal” country. But that path proved mistaken, and Beijing ignored Western pressure on matters from human rights to the widespread theft of intellectual property. Mr. Trump, whatever his flaws, grasps this reality.

Raising tariffs on China is like eating Chinese food. An hour later you wanna do it again.

There is not another politician in America that would take on China this way.

Neither Democrat or Republican.

Which is astonishing.

ONE patriot in all of American politics.

Capture one or both of the political parties in the United States.

— Communist goal #15
Not really astonishing once you realize that this happened years ago.

Maybe not politian, but ask anyone who has lived in China and you’ll get exactly the same. My friend has been telling me about CCP-owned companies for years and I didn’t believe him, til recently. Same with a lot of stuff, you can’t understand the mentality of the Chinese government unless you have experienced it, according to everyone I’ve talked to about it.

On Nixon, I think it was the right thing to do, the world is better off having a prosperous China than a poor, starving, warlike China. It’s not Nixons fault for giving them an opportunity to try capitalism, it’s the 30 or so years of neglect that has allowed them to run roughshod over the US. There’s a long list of people who deserve blame before you get to Nixon.

Yep, even Mark Levin has come around. Free and fair trade is one thing, but China does no such thing. Someone has to push back at some point, Trump has done that. Never mind the dinosaur media, their agenda is nothing more than hating Trump and RAT supporting hacks. If you don’t like Chinese products, don’t buy them.

Trump’s success in NYC shows he was pretty darn sucessful in knowing how to deal with ruthless entities like the mob, so he is quite well willing and able to “deal” with—and “deal with”— China!

I love my President. He is a strategic genius. Everyday I wake up and rush to see what he has said today! Then I watch as it plays out. Globalists and #DeepStaters expose themselves, they just can’t help it. They run around with their on fire, spitting and sputtering on MSM & the web. They don’t know what to doooo. I love it. Thank you, Mr. President.

At this point, those people need to be summarily stripped of citizenship and deported.

I'm done with traitors.

The Butchers of Beijing have at least one *huge* advantage over the President...at least in the short term.

That advantage is that the President is facing an election soon while they're not. They know that any "downturn" in our economy will be blamed squarely on the President while they don't have to worry in the slightest about any damage done to *their* economy.

The Chinese people...that is,the people of *Mainland* China...are accustomed to living like animals. In fact, most of them are living like animals *today* (I've been there,I've seen it).So they don't have to worry about any unrest that might occur...just roll out the tanks.
