JOE SCARBOROUGH, MSNBC: And Rick Tyler, here we go with the Republican Party again, here in the state of Alabama, a state I know well and love, but you can go around the country and see the Trump effect on one Republican Party after another, and it is truly distressing all in support of a president who says he's going to seize private lands and told his aides to do it illegally and he would pardon them. From a president who ordering private companies to move out of other countries, a guy who's running up the biggest debt ever, some of the biggest deficits ever, and this is the guy that Trump Republicans are following over the cliff, politically.
RICK TYLER, MSNBC: Donald Trump has the single largest operating deficit in American history, and he passes budgets without really any negotiation at all, you know, this is what conservatives used to try to do, get a smaller more responsible, limited government. He's gone in the opposite direction of that. These tariffs, which he lies about, are taxes, they hurt the poor the most. When you start taxing food products at 25%, that doesn't mean anything probably to me and you, Joe. We could probably afford that. But it means a lot to a lot to people who can't afford, it is maybe the difference between eating today or not.
You know, on issue after issue after issue, what the Republican Party stood for, what it used to say it stood for, it doesn't stand for those things anymore. The Republican Party, as far as I can tell, is the Republican Party is gone, dead and buried and it is probably not coming back.

They are the only people who can protect the Second Amendment.
Why has this country become so complacent that we put all our faith in others. We, THE PEOPLE of the United States can protect the Second Amendment. If we were to stand united, we could do anything. The Left, with a group text or Facebook message can round up hundreds or thousands to protest stuff they know nothing about.
What would happen if all the states that have Republican leadership, there are more of them than those run by the Left by almost 2 if I’m not mistaken, stood united and told Congress.....ENOUGH. We’re not your whipping boys anymore. We’re not paying for your unfunded mandates. We’re not taking in your illegal aliens or refugees. No more anything.

What does this article have to do with Cruz? Why are you criticizing Cruz? Did you even read it?
Trump did not run as a fiscal conservative. Balancing the budget is no longer an issue for either party and it is near the bottom of the list for voters, too.
I thought Trump had small hands.
Oh but reread the article. I just got up and I read this and now have my eyes wide open. It is all clear now, I should have voted for Jeb. (sarc)
Did you even read what I wrote? Or at least comprehend it?
BOTH political parties are DEAD.
Fortunately, Trump is neither a R nor D. I am not either, although I do vote against Ds.
You are so right DO.
Seems to me Trump is the only one trying to conserve anything for our country.
Try and imagine what American government be like after Trump goes.
The Republican Party should be dead...it is not the Republican Party that is for the little guys - just for Big Business and Globalists...
There are numerous ways to interpret that.
I agree with most of your post, but have to ask you this.
What realistically could Trump have done to stop those unbalanced budgets?
It’s hard to refuse to sign the budget, when both parties frame you as the problem.
About twenty Republicans in office would side with him.
I recall Trump addressing the federal debt. He addressed the issue of $20 trillion being a tipping point.
President Trump is too trusting of people who often end up being vile backstabbers. He should've trusted his instincts and done infrastructure before tax reform and he should've made cuts from Paul Ryan's first budget.
If (when?) the nation goes down, a lot of the blame goes to Paul Ryan, John Roberts, McCain/Romney/Kasick (and their ilk) who put the interests of their Deep State connections before their opportunity to save the nation.
LOL
Yep, you nailed it.
Running as an “R” he did kind of box himself in though. He had to.
Trump can’t do anything first. That’s on Congress.
Actually, I try not to...
And thanks.
The old GOP is dead. Long live the Trump GOP.
