Former Cruz Spokesman: The Republican Party Is "Dead And Buried"
RCP ^ | On Date August 28, 2019 | Tim Hains

Posted on 08/31/2019 9:08:33 AM PDT by conservative98

JOE SCARBOROUGH, MSNBC: And Rick Tyler, here we go with the Republican Party again, here in the state of Alabama, a state I know well and love, but you can go around the country and see the Trump effect on one Republican Party after another, and it is truly distressing all in support of a president who says he's going to seize private lands and told his aides to do it illegally and he would pardon them. From a president who ordering private companies to move out of other countries, a guy who's running up the biggest debt ever, some of the biggest deficits ever, and this is the guy that Trump Republicans are following over the cliff, politically.

RICK TYLER, MSNBC: Donald Trump has the single largest operating deficit in American history, and he passes budgets without really any negotiation at all, you know, this is what conservatives used to try to do, get a smaller more responsible, limited government. He's gone in the opposite direction of that. These tariffs, which he lies about, are taxes, they hurt the poor the most. When you start taxing food products at 25%, that doesn't mean anything probably to me and you, Joe. We could probably afford that. But it means a lot to a lot to people who can't afford, it is maybe the difference between eating today or not.

You know, on issue after issue after issue, what the Republican Party stood for, what it used to say it stood for, it doesn't stand for those things anymore. The Republican Party, as far as I can tell, is the Republican Party is gone, dead and buried and it is probably not coming back.

They then gave lip service to core issues.

That's the crux of it. I can declare myself a Christian until I'm blue in the face, but if at the same time I'm breaking every commandment in the book and then some, I'm no Christian.

Remind me again who ran the house for Trumps first two years? That is why we lost the house.

The GOP has been nothing but an orifice that a behemoth tyrannical government has squeezed through over some time.

So, the guy is kind of right but, he seems to blame Trump?
This Cruz spokesman is actually just another orifice from a long line of orifices making farting sounds.

what the Republican Party stood for, what it used to say it stood for

I know what it used to say. The old GOP is blowing away like dust in the wind because it never stood for what it said.

Been saying it for a long time. Remember the big fuss about him starting a third party.

Well he did and stealing Frank's line...."I did it My Way".

Perhaps I’m in a minority here, but Republicans are DAMN GOOD on judges, RINOs included. And they’re certainly FAR BETTER on guns than the Democrats - unless you people know of Democrats who actually support gun rights (and no, not even Manchin does - even if he claimed it to get elected the first time).

After that, it gets murkier. Ideally, they’d also be for balancing the budget, but that is kind of hard to do when no one wants their taxes raised or entitlements touched, and have the country doesn’t want their welfare messed with. I guess they can do what the last 3 Republican presidents did, and get their heads handed to them in the next election*, but then is that good for the country?

*Reagan - raised Social Security Taxes and Cut Benefits (somewhat) - Republicans lost Senate right after, 1986.

*Bush Sr. - tried to balance the budget by raising taxes, lost re-election in 1992 because of it. And then Bush Clinton took the credit for actually balancing the budget, thanks, in part, to Bush’s tax increase.

*Bush Jr. - tried to partially privatize Social Security in 2005 - lost House and Senate in 2006.

As far as I’m concerned, at this point, JUDGES ARE EVERYTHING. They are the only people who can protect the Second Amendment and they are the only people who can, hopefully (with enough Scalias) actually scale-back government greatly, by simply eliminating what is not Constitutionally authorized. The can also STOP DEMOCRATS in their tracks, including instigating (or at least giving the justification for) a military coup, if needed, should the Democrats go a bit too far in their Leftist direction, should they get power. Lose the JUDGES, and we ARE DOOMED, no hope.

Read Daniel ch 4!

Every national leader is chosen by Yehova, “and they will be the basest of men” said Nebuchadnessar, the “leader of the free world” at that time.

Agreed.

GOPe is part of the problem

They ignored our votes and worked against him

They revisited Reagan too

I’m sick of them

Donald Trump has the single largest operating deficit in American history

The same was true with Reagan. He prioritized tax cuts and restoring military readiness. He never had the House, so Tip O'Neill got a lot of what he wanted.

HOPEFULLY, the self-centered, country-club GOP-E is deader than a dodo.

Or soon will be in states its abandoned, in effect, refusing to even field credible candidates

most D voters DO NOT want the commie-nazi DNC extemist lefties...
and would vote for honest Trumpesque R candidates IF given the chance

The old democrat party has been dead since obooboo was elected.

Nothing but radicals in it now. The “New Peoples Socialist Party” is all it is now.

Bush was a wimp - a roll over.

Bush wasn’t a wimp. He is a liberal completely supportive of the progressive agenda.

It was dead and buried when it became the Corporate Lobbyist Party sometime in the late 90s after they got control of Congress.

They then gave lip service to core issues.

This coincided with the Bush wing globalists and neocons taking over

Agree. The GOP has been lying to the GOP base for 30 years and conspiring behind our backs to defeat the very agenda they were elected to support. Note Democrat pet projects like NPR and Planned Infanticide were always fully funded by the GOP.

A lot of seafood, especially the farmed versions, come from China, even so-called Alaskan seafood, you have to check the fine print

In the past it was cheaper to ship raw products to china and get them finished there. This includes food sometimes.
