The Deep State Will Face Justice Soon! Right?
American Thinker ^ | Aug. 31, 2019 | Peggy Ryan

"The check's in the mail" is a promise that payment's been sent even if it hasn't. It's a stalling tactic to avoid pressure from creditors, from those expecting payment.

That's the scam our government is running on the American people today, a ruse to tamp down expectations of justice. We all know that the FBI used an unverifiable document, the Steele dossier, to get a warrant to spy on Trump using the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA). This dossier was used to start a counterintelligence operation to plant spies in Trump's campaign, to get a special counsel to impeach the president.

Reversion to the mean occurred immediately after Ronald Reagan left office in January 1989.

Ronald Reagan was not immune to the machinations of the deep state either.

Comey was the director of the FBI who has had a long time association with getting the Clintons out of trouble. His corruption and abuse of power spanned I think over a decade - ask Martha Stewart.

When cops are dirty they need to be made an example of - we get the government we deserve if we tolerate this corruption and don't fight back we will just get more of it.

Sure every place has corruption its a matter of how much its tolerated and when exposed how its punished. There no small fish about establishing in the consciousnesses of the nation there is a multi-tiered legal system. Things like this lead to being a more shithole like country - think Mexico

I think its very important the people of America see Comey go to prison especially because he so deserves to be there

NO GOING TO HAPPEN

The very corrupt FBI and the very corrupt DOJ will do nothing.

But, according to Gohmert, FBI Director Christopher Wray’s approach seems to be to release as little as possible in a bid to preserve the credibility of the bureau.

“Part of it is Christopher Wray who is dear friends with [former FBI Director] Mueller, dear friends with Comey,” Gohmert said. “It appears to me that he’s been more interested and keeping quiet as much as he possibly can, and then hoping the FBI gets their credibility back, instead of rooting out wrongdoers and coming completely open.”

I’ve no hope that justice will be applied.

Jeffrey Epstein. ‘Nuff said. Everyone on these forums knows that in all likelihood he was murdered, we’re talking like 99.98% sure that he was murdered and yet it’s treated as an open and shut case that it was suicide.

If they’re not going to investigate a case such as this, then anything FISA is bs. I like Trump, the best President ever. But he’s the same boss as the old boss. So many chances to right some wrongs, to fight the good fight on many fronts, all passed up on.

-- is that INJUSTICE is now being flaunted in an egregious way by the political elites in this country. It's being taken to another level that is in-your-face. They no longer care about any pretense of following the laws. --

Comey knows that "the law" runs on legal technicalities. His ass is covered, or at least he has VERY sound reason to think so.

Criminal law is deliberately very narrow, and in practice is very protective of the government side, on the (false) presumption that the government does not go after innocent people, and that the government is honest. Well, to be expected, the system is a government creation, so of course it serves its master first and best.

The law is a tool like a gun is a tool. It can be used for good, and it can be used for bad. Comey and many others use it for bad. They care deeply about "following" the law, at least in a way that keeps them clear of being found to be a criminal. The ethical, honesty and trust side, not so much. Mueller is cut from the same cloth and Comey - abused the office and got away with it. Not just as SC, as FBI Director too. Is Mueller a criminal for saying Trump was "not exonerated?" Nope. Unethical as can be, rotten, awful, but eaten up like candy by half the public and 90% of the press. Massive injustice, but relabeled "following the rule of law."

Don't be satisfied if the law takes Comey's, Strzok's, McCabe's scalps. Don't believe Congress when it says "this law makes it so this sort of shenanigan can never happen again." They are all crooks, and they all want your adoration and respect.

The public is better served by a healthy skepticism of the law and people who enforce it than by trusting them. Trusting them (and the system) is what got us in this mess.

I totally agree that what the government did against the public in this case is over the top. My point is that the law does not possess a remedy for this.

***********

If the situation was reversed and it was a cabal of Republicans that attempted to derail Obama by weaponizing federal resources against him, I strongly suspect the Dems would ensure that the law did have a remedy for it. The indictments would be flying.

history has shown that cover ups usually backfire ending up as bad or worse than the original crime. Wray is making a huge mistake trying to salvage the FBI reputation, the cat is out of the bag and can't get put back in. All Wray is doing is making things worse by not acknowledging and taking drastic action to fix the problems. Absolutely IMHO terrible management and thought process. Stupid is as Stupid does, hge is exhibiting symptoms of the Deep State mindset. Cancer must be cut out or destroyed, not ignored. Ostrich head in the sand tactic is foolhardy. He and Rosenstein have allowed this malignancy to prosper.

I agree. I think we are at a point where the President can no longer wash his hands of DOJ lack of prosecution. If Comey et al walk I'm not sure the President will be reelected in 2020. You can put blame on Sessions and Barr and Rosenstein and Wray only for so long. Ultimately all of those people work directly for the President and it's his responsibility to make sure the laws of the land are followed.

It's way past time to start putting many people in jail. This article may sound profound but myself and others here have been saying this exact thing for close to two years. Nothing the President can do will matter in the long run if these criminals are not locked up. I think the reality of this situation is starting to sink in with the base.

Justice is a bigger and more important campaign issue than any other promise he has made, to include the wall.

This comment hit the nail dead center, as if the government continues as it has with lies and deceptions, I just don’t see a very bright future. How can you expect the public to be righteous, honest and truthful when a good portion of their leaders are dishonest and crooked. On the other hand keep in mind that our elected officials are a close reflection of the people who elected them. Politicians can be changed every few years, but the mindset of a public which has gone off the right track and keeps on voting for crooks who keep promising a NIRVANA is an altogether different issue and unless this mindset changes, things will continue on a downhill slide. Humans are creatures of habit and from my experience changes will only come when humans are forced to do so, when it hits either their pocketbook or they are faced with some life threatening situations. And my feeling is that in the long run it may take either one or the other, or both to bring about any changes for the better.

Sure. See Weissman prosecution of Arthur Anderson (company) on a made up legal theory. On a different level of government, the Waco bikers, charged for being in a place where the cops started a gunfight.

I guess my point here is that "the law" isn't so much the rules written on paper as it is the willingness of the people in power to use their power by any means necessary, including torturing the rulebook (the same way SCOTUS tortures the constitution) to make it say anything they please.

If conservative were like liberals, we'd have rounded them up by now. We have superiority of force.

Rosenstein didn't just sit passively by. He appointed an SC, against department rules and regulations. he is as guilty as Comey in the "I'll do what I please for the greater good, even if I have to break the rules to get it done."

Wray is an apologist for corruption, went so far as to say Strzok and Page were not biased ... they were "good" FBI agents.

I'll credit both of them for showing the public, at least those with open eyes, the true nature of the DOJ and FBI.

Just heard Joe DiGenova the other day on the Howie Carr Show in Boston. Howie tried to press Joe for an assurance that top players would wind up in court and Joe refused to give one.

Being the pessimist that I am when it comes to Swamp Creatures getting their comeuppance I'm inclined to doubt that any of them will find themselves in a courtroom. But even if I'm wrong:if the courtroom they wind up in is in DC there's no way in hell they'll be convicted. That,of course,is because DC went 90% (or was it 95%?) for ILLary.Only Republicans are convicted in DC courtrooms.

""It's just the TOP people who are bad..! The rank and file are patriots, just as they have been all along..! They are our Knights In Shining Armor..!"

Logic alone tells us this is total bunk. If the rank and file FBI are all honest patriots, how is it that only the scum rise to the top? Explain to me how someone so biased and dishonest as Perter Strzok managed to rise through the ranks to be one of the FBI's most senior agents? Are we to assume those that promoted him somehow did not know of his dishonesty? Who do you think Peter Strzok and others like him have working under him? Criminals in positions of power surround themselves with other criminals. So give me a break. There might be some honest FBI agents but that's only because they just got hired and they will fall in line with the corrupt or their career will go nowhere. When only scum rise to the top it's because they are in a cesspool of corruption and they are worst of the worst.

I truly wonder if Trump’s life (or someone in his family) has been threatened if he goes too far in draining the swamp.

And was Bushie Barr simply a trade Trump made with Deep State?

Bottom line - the corruption is massive and deep...and we’re close to the 2A being the final solution to truly draining the swamp.
