A memo issued to staff at the Washington Post confirms the newsroom in their Washington, D.C., headquarters was infested with cockroaches.
"We have a growing pest problem, said director of newsroom operations Jillian S. Jarrett in an office memo. "Weve gotten several reports of cockroaches in the newsroom."
The report of the insect infestation at the Washington Post closely mirrors a bedbug infestation at the New York Times. An internal memo sent to New York Times newsroom staff on Monday confirmed the presence of bedbugs. "During an extermination sweep of the newsroom over the weekend, we discovered evidence of bedbugs in a wellness room ... on the second floor, a couch on the third floor and a booth on the fourth floor." The memo informed staff the areas would be thoroughly cleaned.
New York Times columnist Bret Stephens deleted his Twitter account after a George Washington University professor jokingly called him a "bedbug" in light of the infestation. Stephens said he was deeply offended by the "dehumanizing rhetoric."

AKA, the Washington Pest.
Hmmmmm....
One wonders....
Well the WaPo is a garbage heap so it figures.
Cant tell the difference between the “Journalists” who are roaches and the actual roaches
What a dilemma. If they call in an exterminator, the newsroom would be empty.
News travels really really slow in Washington.
It’s August. Everyone is on vacation................
Bed bugs at the NYT, roaches at the WaPo. Eqyptian plagues?
Problem is, these are the five to six foot variety...
Locusts at the Boston Globe?
Frogs at LA Times?.............
Their teeny tiny Press badges are kinda cute.
Hmm...typhus and rats in LA, human poo in SF, bedbugs in NYC, cockroaches in DC. There’s a pattern here, I’m sure, but whatever could it be?
It’s almost like the biblical plagues, but on a much smaller scale... and nobody is getting killed.
Oh man ... this is SO funny .. love to hear Michael Savage ‘riff’ on this ...
Hilarious! Bugs just love those dirty Dems.
well birds of a feather do stick together as the old saying goes
Two-legged and six-legged.
Both the Post and the Times are open borders.
Piojos at the Arizona Daily Star?
