To make it on stage at the September Democratic presidential debate, candidates must have 130,000 unique donors and garner 2 percent or more in at least four polls approved by the Democratic National Committee.
Hawaii Representative Tulsi Gabbard, progressive mega-donor Tom Steyer, and New Age author Marianne Williamson each met the donor requirement but will apparently fail to hit the polling requirement.

The polls are so that the unwanted ones can be manipulated out of the race. They did NOT want Gabbard in any more debates.
Why didn’t they want Steyer?

Steyer didn’t qualify due to not getting enough of a showing in polls. as Mark Steyn said, why didn’t he just buy Gallup etc and fix that up right away?!!!

EVERY generation of almost every country has people who think the people have too much.

I suspect they didn’t want Steyer because they want his money going to other candidates, not to his own campaign.

Trump was able to do it because he has a lot in common with the common man.
This other guy wants us to all live in squalor except him and some others.
Trump would not have won the Dem nomination. That’s the difference.
I’m not sure why that’s brought up because he doesn’t have dem views.
It’s like saying Biden wouldn’t win the republican nomination.
In 2015 and early 2016 we had plenty of people telling us that Trump did have dem views.
Those people were spectacularly wrong.
Good riddance to all of them. I won’t be voting for a rat but would prefer to see the serious candidates shooting each other rather than the clown show.
Trump switched parties. My point is that Steyer would not have been nominated by the Dems if he had more in common with the common man. The Dems are not going to nominate a white male period. They wouldn’t nominate Trump and they won’t nominate Steyer.
