Taylor Swift called out the White House after she won the 2019 MTV Video Music Awards' top prize video of the year for her LGBTQ pride anthem, "You Need To Calm Down." ... (just an excerpt; don't need the rest of this crap.

Sure enough, Taylor is getting all kinds of gigs now because she’s considered “woke” enough! These Holywood and Music industry types are worse than the mafia.
And think how many people on the right just worshiped this airhead for years?
Bye Bye sweetie.
The leftist establishment got your confession. Now you will be cast aside.
... but, but what does Miley Virus think.
Was never a fan...too old I guess but during the Kanye incident she was backed here close to unanimity.
Not that easy. Dem cheaters will put false moustaches and phony gray hair dye at the temples and say the boys are old enough to vote Dem. Females will wear dark brown makeup and say to voter officials "You really wanna mess wid challengin' me, honky?" "Why, no m'am. Here is your ballot. And your 'I voted' sticker."
Well with the often complex and intelligent lyrics she writes for her songs, she must be incredibly bright and her political opinion she be heard out.
...We are NEVER, EVER getting back together...
That’s Genius!!!
Wasn’t a Swift fan, but I did enjoy Ariana Grande’s acting and singing before she began talking politics.
Elizabeth Gillies was the better singer, though. Difficult at least to ascertain her POV.
I didn't worship her, but I liked her early ballads, introduced to me by my kids. Nice country / pop tunes, and she was a politically neutral and an attractive character.
Both her music and her public persona have now evolved into something uninteresting and annoying, so I have changed my opinion.
So I was in Wallyworld yesterday and her new release is out. The basic cd was going for $15 but there was a deluxe edition with a bigger box and a sticker indicating lots of extras going for 30 something. This deluxe edition apparently has 4 different versions. Near as I could tell the only difference was the label at the top in different colors saying which version it was. Now if you were a big fan you would have had to drop close to $150 to get every version. Maybe once you open the box something unique to each version is inside but from the outside they all looked the same to me.

I used to have a Taylor Swift channel on Pandora and links to her stuff on Amazon Prime Music. I really like the arrangements, though she is a “pedestrian” vocalist.
When she got political I deleted the channels and did a thumbs down every time one of her songs came up. I don’t see them any more.
In this world, this sort of stuff is tracked so it actually matters. I don’t have a huge voice, but I have more of a voice than I would have had 30 years ago.
Assume leftism until proven innocent.
“You Need To Calm Down.”
You need to look in a mirror.
I didn’t worship her, but I really liked the songs and, especially, the arrangements.
She’s got the leftist verbiage down pat. Accuse others of what you’re guilty of. She needs to find Jesus.
She made her fame off of the “deplorable” country music fans. And now she wants nothing to do with them. Another typical celebrity user.
The three primary and fairly unique debate weapons of the left:
Projection - accuse the opponent of exactly what you are guilty of
ad-hominem - when you have no argument, attack the opponent’s credentials or person.
Deflection - when you have no argument, change the subject.
The last one I just experienced on a leftist site. They were questioning my claim of 60 new miles of fence at the border. When I supplied links, they changed the argument to this:
1. How much did it cost?
2. Some of those miles were simply replacing old fence, not “new” fence. (yet the fence was new)
I just call them out and move on.
