There will be much to learn in Inspector General Michael Horowitz's upcoming report on the Trump-Russia investigation, but most of it will likely boil down to just two questions. One, how much did the Obama Justice Department spy on the Trump campaign? And two, was it justified?
Many Democrats would immediately protest the word "spying." But the public already knows the FBI secured a warrant to wiretap low-level Trump adviser Carter Page a few months after Page left the campaign. The public also knows the FBI used informant Stefan Halper to gather information on other Trump campaign figures. And the public knows the FBI sent an undercover agent who went by the alias "Azra Turk" to London to tease information out of another low-level Trump adviser, George Papadopoulos.
Was that all? Were there more? Horowitz should give definitive answers.
And what did the spying involve? In such intelligence work, wiretaps are recorded; transcripts are made. The same can be true for person-to-person conversations between FBI informants and Trump campaign figures. In May, Trey Gowdy, the former Republican congressman who read deeply into Trump-Russia materials when he was in the House, strongly implied the FBI had transcripts of informant communications.
"If the bureau is going to send an informant in, the informant is going to be wired," Gowdy told Fox Business' Maria Bartiromo. "And if the bureau is monitoring telephone calls, there's going to be a transcript of that."
"Where are the transcripts, if any exist," Gowdy continued, "between the informants and the telephone calls to George Papadopoulos?"
The "if any exist" was Gowdy's way of casting his statements as a hypothetical, but there was no doubt he was speaking from the knowledge he gained as a congressional investigator.

I’ll go ahead and tell you what is in the report. “Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah... The IG notes the various illegal activities uncovered but does not recommend anyone be prosecuted.”
If DOJ doesn’t get this report out before the end of 2019 they’ll have to wait until 2021 so as not to affect the election.

Prediction: The report will be damning but not specific enough to be actionable. At best, some low level players will be made an example.
Now back to the recession caused by the racist.
A lot of this feels like the 13 minute gap in Rosemary Woods' tape during the Nixon administration.
We grab lots of emails. We just missed 33,000 emails from Hillary.
We have lots of video cameras. We just didn't manage to capture Seth Rich's murder or Jeffrey Epstein's murder.
We have transcripts of lots of FBI interviews. We just don't have transcripts of the really interesting interviews.
13 minute gap in the tape recording? [shrug] This stuff happens, right?
I love these articles. I remember before the last IG report how it was going to be the end of the world for the demonicrat derpstate. All kinds of prognostications on the takedown of the government criminals and the oven mitt. Then the report came out and all we heard were the sad trombones. I’ll reserve judgment until the report is public instead of engaging in fantastical speculation.
There MUST be serious payback, or our domestic enemies will pursue Trump, his family and anyone who dares to support him for the rest of their lives.
This is absolutely the tipping point.
We either clean out the Deep State (so far, very little evidence of this).
Or else we confirm that the Deep State is untouchable and that there will never be any payback for anything they do, no matter how vile.
Either way, after Trump, this country is going to be very different.
Look for the Horowitz report to be released late next Friday, August 30th, just prior to the long Labor Day weekend.

Did the Author forget that Strzok and DoJ Lawyer, Page, said they would get Trump and Stop him from becoming President?
It was clearly and plainly a Coup.
Within days of Strzok launching his CrossFire Get Trump Op, he was promoted to 3rd in his branch.
Horowitz dutifully didn’t look at Strzok and Page’s personal phones and Gmail which they clearly said on their work phones were being used to strategize on the Get Trump Op and store Classified Docs.
Horowitz is the man when you need a whitewash.

I agree with you. I do believe that Trump will be re elected, but when the dims get back in power, they will unleash their revenge on the American people.

I will trust nothing from Mr. Run-Out-The-Clock Horowitz. I’d love to be proven wrong but I won’t count on that happening.
The IG report will only discuss administrative errors. It will be Barr’s cover for letting all the corrupt bureaucrats skate.
