President Trump spoke out Sunday on reports his administration has been looking into buying Greenland.
"Essentially it’s a large real estate deal. A lot of things can be done. It’s hurting Denmark very badly because they're losing almost $700 million a year carrying it," he said. "So, they carry it at great loss, and strategically for the United States, it would be nice. And, we're a big ally of Denmark and we help Denmark, and we protect Denmark."
Trump said he may be visiting Greenland in the near future, but claimed the issue was not a top priority for the administration.

God! If only! I realize it’s a strategic piece of real estate, but the natives there are mainly a burden to Denmark, which is why they want to offload it. Do we really need another group of “minorities” for the democraps to use as a cudgel?
It’s likely a racis’ move to corner the market on Italian Ices with all of that White Stuff so readily available on so-called Greenland.

Denmark has said they are not interested in selling.
The island is rich in natural resources; oil, rare earth metals, glacial ice and geothermal energy.
The hawiaans have been demanding home rule for the ancestral natives for some time. The puerto ricans want their own racial state too.

Well, they aren’t Danes racially, they are like Aleuts in Alaska and from the few documentaries I’ve seen, the youth have a high suicide rate, blamed, of course, on losing their native culture.

I will think it is a good idea ONLY if all govt agencies (except the CDC, Pentagon, Immigration and Customs, and the IRS) in DC are relocated to there...

When I first heard it I thought DJTRUMP was personally going to buy it and figured it was a good idea but kind of a premature action.
I can see the negotiation now: Look your loosing $700M a year on this. Tell you what, we’ll give you 30 year treasury bonds worth what your paying out and you can take this deficit and make it into an asset for you. So $700M in treasuries at 2% and we take it off your hands. Win-win for everyone.
Now if you push me, I’m afraid I’ll have to back off and only give you say....$350M, I mean to be fair no one else is going to want to pick up this losing proposition for you and we will be taking on the burden of managing and fixing the problems there.
