More than 330 miles of new "border wall capability" will be in place by the end of 2020, U.S. Border Patrol Chief Carla Provost said Monday, noting that repairs to the wall in the San Diego area bring the current total to "57 miles that we have put in."
An additional 47 miles is under contract. Provost told Fox News' "Fox and Friends."

You don’t yell criminals about someone for 18 months fail to lock her ups and ask me to vote for you. 300 miles of border wall, if new, and other measures, would have to show big reduction in illegals coming every month. If not, what would be the point. As i said, he should have hit the ground running on that issue.
The first efforts were met with law suits and just about anything the Left could throw at them to stop the wall.
Now that those have all been shot down, Trump pretty much has the freedom to build the thing from here on out.
With Trump it’s rather misleading to predict how much wall will be built. He frequently exceeds predictions.
He was just cleared to use $4.5 billion redirected from military funds.
One other thing that pleases me, is the new trade agreement with Mexico and Canada. There are probably more things I would liked to have seen addressed, but there is one thing I like.
The new agreement has been panned as not saving the U. S. nearly as much as folks had first thought it would. Low and behold, it is projected to save us about as much as the wall will cost.
Trump is a clever guy.

The best time for Trumps wall to go up is in an election year. It’s almost as if he planned it this way. I can see the speeches now: “I promised a wall, and it’s going up right now.”

I have been trying to make your simple point for years. I sick of hearing the naysayers complaining it wasn't done yesterday. Sheesh, why does no one research priority areas and other areas that don't need a 30 foot wall?
I have repeatedly tried to explain from Yuma to Phoenix that it would take a military logistics division to pass across that vast desert. I drove that distance to join the Minutemen. Look on a map, folks while keeping in mind coyotes/illegals need a staging point to blend in with the population. There are none there and in other places mountainous. We don't need 2000 miles of bollard barriers. We only need them in areas of staging points which are close to major hwys and towns.
Living 2 miles from Tijuana and having illegals go through my yard, I know what I'm talking about.
Plus, apparently Pres. Trump's threat of tariffs on Mexico has caused them to mobilize their troops to their southern border. When's the last time any FR reader has heard about a mass caravan heading out way? Central America is getting the message.
Yes, there is more to be done, but stop complaining about the wall not being built. It is!

If everyone who isn’t 100% pleased with Trump decided to write-in or forego voting, we’d wind up with something devastating to this country. Anyone of conservative - or even moderate - bent, who fails to vote for Trump in 2020 is cutting off their nose to spite their own face.

You have NOBODY who could bring results on the issues that you care about better than Trump can - nobody who has a chance of being elected in 2020.
Trump rallied and campaigned on many issues; and he has delivered on a lot of them superbly. He is not an emperor - he has to deal with a lot of obstacles, including sheer hatred and obstinacy of an extent I have never seen another president withstand.
This is a president who needs, and has earned, a second term.
There is always a discrepancy between principle and actual practice; and between political philosophy and politics. (That’s something I’ve learned over my own many years.)
Whoops! Forgot about those MASSIVE I.C.E. raids... Need to subtract 800 or so from that 30-50 million... Whoops again! Need to subtract about 400 from that 800...
At this rate one might be inclined to suspect that it will be (at least) the year 4020 before all these vermin (counting their offspring) are flushed from the system...
I believe any new walls are more “strategic” than what ever anyone had done in the past.....
