Biden: ‘We Choose Truth Over Facts’

Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden told a crowd of supporters on Tuesday that "we choose truth over facts," apparently referring to the Democratic Party.
"We choose science over fiction; we choose truth over facts," Biden said, drawing applause.
The former vice president has a history of tripping over his words.
Biden continues to hold a formidable lead in national Democratic primary polls. He leads the next two closest opponents, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I, Vt.) and Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D., Mass.), by over 15 percentage points.
Although he avoided another awkward exchange with Sen. Kamala Harris (D., Calif.) in the most recent Democratic debates, some in the media criticized his performance, with one MSNBC panel noting he seemed to "forget words." Sen. Cory Booker (D., NJ) went after the former Vice President at the debate, however, calling him out for dodging on whether he advised former President Barack Obamas against mass deportations.
Biden, for his part, has attacked Bookers record on policing during his tenure as mayor of Newark, pointing to the use of stop-and-frisk.

Think for a minute that Paul Ryan could not win a debate with bizarre Joe. Even with Joe smirking and apparently almost drunk. Paul Ryan is such a loser.
Trump will make mince meat of Sleepy Joe.

The fact that the leading democratic candidate says such screwy things as “truth over facts” says a whole heck of a lot about the state of the party - as in the state is one of disarray. Really, good old crazy Uncle Joe is the best they’ve got?

"But," continued Jolly Joe, "facts do come in a close fourth, right behind fictoids, fancifuls, and truth."

Theres truth and theres propaganda.
Facts support the truth.
The USSR’s books were definitely propaganda, but they relied on the same facts as the West. They made the facts support their ‘truth,’ such as the Allies reluctance to open a western front, allowing the Soviets to absorb the Nazi attack.
I guess what I’m trying to say is truth has a larger component of subjectivism than facts. YMMV

Hey, in that picture, it looks there like Biden is trying to dress like some of these recent nutty shooters in the news, with the dark shirt and khaki pants...

Not at all. Imagine all the “truth” Joe has seen manufactured despite those pesky facts. It’s standard ‘rat logic and he has no problem with the statement.

Truth is what the Ministry of Truth says it is.
Facts are what goes down the memory hole.

Maybe not, if Bidon chooses to take the President out behind the gym...

Joe appropriated the biography of a miner in a past campaign. But I cut him some slack because I think he actually believed it.

Old Joe Stalin was content to stroll down the garden path with Adolf until Adolf decided he didn’t need a partner anymore. Russia’s contribution to WW2 was minimal at best. They had no strategic air force and no navy. They didn’t fight the Germans or the Japanese in any capacity and battles fronts as did the Western Allies.

Yup. You don't win wars by taking casualties. You win them by inflicting them. Again, look at all the place, in Europe and the Pacific were the Allies fought. Russia wasn't there. They weren't supplying us. We were supplying them.
