Retail Billionaire Behind Victoria’s Secret Says Jeffrey Epstein ‘Misappropriated Vast Sums of Mon

Leslie Wexner, in letter to foundation, said the amount was at least $46 million

Leslie Wexner, the billionaire behind Victoria’s Secret, said his former money manager Jeffrey Epstein misappropriated more than $46 million of his fortune, revealing for the first time some of the financial fallout from his relationship with the disgraced financier.

In a letter Wednesday, the founder and chief executive of L Brands Inc. LB -0.63% wrote to members of his Wexner Foundation that the missing funds were uncovered after Mr. Wexner decided in 2007 to sever ties with Mr. Epstein. Mr. Wexner began the separation process after allegations against Mr. Epstein surfaced involving sexual abuse of underage girls.

“We discovered that he had misappropriated vast sums of money from me and my family,” Mr. Wexner wrote in the letter, which was reviewed by The Wall Street Journal. “This was, frankly, a tremendous shock, even though it clearly pales in comparison to the unthinkable allegations against him now.”

In January 2008, Mr. Epstein transferred $46 million worth of investments to a Wexner charitable fund, tax records show. Mr. Wexner said the transfer was only a portion of the funds that his money manager had allegedly misappropriated. “All of that money—every dollar of it—was originally Wexner family money,” he wrote.

A lawyer for Mr. Epstein couldn’t be reached for comment. A spokesman for Mr. Wexner declined to comment on whether Mr. Wexner reported the matter to authorities.

At his burn rate, $46 million wouldn’t last too long. How did Epstein make his money?

Extortion wouldn’t create enough cash to fund his lifestyle.

Didn’t this guy also give Epstein his NYC mansion for free?

One of the most expensive properties in the city.

Definitely sounds like a honey trap scheme with some big fish involved...

Written by Wexner’s publicist and lawyer.

Wonder what Epstien’s reaction will be.

Dump Wexner’s pedophile file?

How did Epstein make his money?

The US government spends trillions it does not have. We frequently lose billions of dollars and think nothing of it (Hillary lost $6B at State). Obama spent $1T on stimulus but where did that money go?

I don't think it all flowed through Epstein but I think he is part of a dark money world where huge sums from US taxpayers are used by bad guys to do bad things. Soros is in on this. Yes, Soros is a billionaire. Does Soros spend his own money to fund ANTIFA? I doubt it. I think Soros spends US tax revenues to fund ANTIFA. We pay for it.

I think this is all dirtier than the public would believe.

Gaining the world but losing the soil is one bad tradeoff— mostly at the end of it. Anybody envious of Epstein’s life today?

I think you’re right.

I just wonder why epstein finally got in trouble and charged.

I guess not everyone was paid off.

You’d think whoever went after him would be ruined.

That means there’s still some hope.

“I am SHOCKED” my money was used to buy underage girls and world leaders...

Someone sent me the David Spade monologue from his new show - he had a joke about Epstein's failure to hang himself was due to the fact that he usually had Girl Scouts tie the knots for him....

For reasons that have never been explained, Wexner appears to have made a gift of the house to Epstein, transferring title for the cost of $0 around 1996.

Now slightly damaged:

Jeffrey Epstein Appears In Manhattan Federal Court On Sex Trafficking Charges
The door to a residence belonging to Jeffrey Epstein appears to have been forcibly opened at East 71st street on the Upper East Side of Manhattan on July 8, 2019 in New York City (by the FBI).

BTW those are fifteen-feet-high oak doors.
