Feds: Honduran Drug Dealers Carpooled Into Tenderloin To Sell Heroin, Fentanyl And Cocaine

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF/AP) — A drug pipeline into San Francisco’s crime-ridden Tenderloin District, fueled by Honduran nationals who lived in the East Bay, has been busted up by federal agents who have arrested 32 suspects, authorities announced Wednesday.

Chris Nielsen, special agent in charge of the Drug Enforcement Administration in San Francisco, told reporters that an investigation was launched in late 2017 in cooperation with San Francisco and Richmond police and uncovered two independent drug operations stretching from Mexico to Seattle.

The drugs hitting the streets according to the DEA were methamphetamine, fentanyl, heroin and cocaine.

“These are small quantities of drugs, but lots and lots and lots of small quantities of drugs,” Nielsen said. The bindles fed drug habits in the Tenderloin and beyond. DEA agents intercepted 1.5 kilos of cocaine and 2.5 kilos of heroin headed for Seattle and the Pacific Northwest.

Of the drugs coming in from Mexico, Nielsen said, “It’s not clear yet which cartel is involved down there in Culiacan, Mexico, but drugs would come into Southern California, Los Angeles into the Bay Area–they would either go to the Tenderloin or sometimes the drugs would go up to the Pacific Northwest.”

In the Bay Area, the mostly Honduran nationals lived in the East Bay and commuted daily into San Francisco’s Tenderloin District to sell drugs.

The “commuter drug dealers” acted like “independent contractors,” Nielsen said, traveling on BART or in carpools to peddle the drugs that were shipped into the Bay Area from Mexico and Honduras.

Good!! So glad they got them, we are ruining an entire generation with the easy availability of drugs. At least we can make it hard for them to get.

Exactly. The Feds need to keep the war on drugs forever. Cute little stories give them cover with the stupid people. The agents have job security, the corrupt criminal justice system and prisons, fines from money suffering banks that don’t close.

But ask yourself. With a 21 T deficit (more than that if you count the missing money) why wouldn’t they recycle the drugs for sale back into the market through middlemen? Dose anyone actually believe that the drugs are destroyed?

Really, you think that Feds are trying to win the war on drugs? Since 1970 with the CSA and after spending billions, are we winning? Opioid deaths are higher than ever because of the illegal market fentanyl, cocaine, heroin.

I’m sorry to say that you are as gullible as it gets if you believe in this propaganda. Unless you are a paid government troll.

Cop: “Was that pound of cocaine I confiscated or just two ounces? To tell you the truth in the flurry of the take down I lost count myself”.

The problem is that you can do your job so well that it becomes no longer necessary to keep you employed. Most people have a strange way of observing things. If a building is super clean they wonder why they hire so many janitors. Because of this thinking it almost becomes advantageous to do your job at just above the level of incompetence.

Fentanyl is the really champ now. It’s a great store of value because you get so many doses per unit of weight.

No way could the Feds pass on that and put it into an incinerator. Anyone who thinks that there is gold in Ft. Knox also believes that the DEA destroyer all the drugs. Those people are duped by the file films.

I have no doubt our govt elites are getting rich from all crime...whether it be prostitution, slavery, drugs, money laundering, etc...

I would appreciate it if they would keep it out of my area and my life.....

We had a word processing pool cranking out parole board reports. The union contracted agreement said each person had to do 10 reports a week. On Friday afternoon the reports were completed.

The new superintendent asked, if you could go home when you did 12 reports, when would you finish. They unanimously said thur noon. He proposed to sacramento. Let them work piece work and get paid for 12 reports and go home. I will not fill the vacant position and give them all 5% pay raise.

The reaction was swift. The contract prevents that. The state will never approve it. WTF is wrong with you. Stop being a trouble maker.
