Exactly. The Feds need to keep the war on drugs forever. Cute little stories give them cover with the stupid people. The agents have job security, the corrupt criminal justice system and prisons, fines from money suffering banks that don’t close.
But ask yourself. With a 21 T deficit (more than that if you count the missing money) why wouldn’t they recycle the drugs for sale back into the market through middlemen? Dose anyone actually believe that the drugs are destroyed?
Cop: “Was that pound of cocaine I confiscated or just two ounces? To tell you the truth in the flurry of the take down I lost count myself”.
The problem is that you can do your job so well that it becomes no longer necessary to keep you employed. Most people have a strange way of observing things. If a building is super clean they wonder why they hire so many janitors. Because of this thinking it almost becomes advantageous to do your job at just above the level of incompetence.
The whole corrections industry would shrink to a fraction of its size without the ongoing drug problems; winning the “war on drugs” would be economically devastating to so many people latched onto the law enforcement “business”.
This is why Harris is losing support among blacks; she took her thirty pieces of silver to lock up blacks, often for drug offenses - she was The Man in their eyes.
