When it comes to guns, the United States really needs to take lessons from the rest of the world. From enlightened, low-crime countries. You know: like Mexico. And Venezuela.
That was the thrust of a hand-wringing CNN segment this morning. Narrated by Brit CNN correspondent Nick Paton Walsh, the chyron set the tone: "World Puzzled as U.S. Grapples with Latest Mass Shootings."

CNN needs to go off the air.
Thanks, CNN> Yeah, we should definitely look to Mexico and Venezuela to tell us how to deal with crime.
Ping to Liberal Media Criticism list.
The Ministry of Propaganda are beclowning themselves.
Maybe they’ll use Nazi Germany next.
They had great gun control........
Of course CNN (Communist News Network) wants the citizenry disarmed. How else can they send patriots to reeducation camps?
I first thought that they were moving there. Damn.
Actually England is a very good example of the failure of gun control.
Before around 1919, Britain had virtually no gun control laws. They had almost no crime. According to British Constable Colin Greenwood, the number of armed robberies per year in the entire country could be counted on the fingers of one hand.
Britain has passed increasingly harsh gun control laws and at the same time crime has increased by a huge amount. Now England has a higher crime rate than the U.S. in some areas.
In burglary of occupied dwellings they are way, way higher than the U.S. I also wonder who is committing most of the murders?
CNN is ATT
ATT subscribers should dump ATT. That can happen today.
Hey, Stupid, how about all the Muslim problems you have in your country. At least our problem is limited to a few nut jobs. Your entire country’s at risk.
They are now officially a children’s news network. It works. CNN. Children’s News Network.
No, the lesson that needs to be hammered home is that every nation in history that enslaved their people first disarmed them.
Bottom line; end of story.
CNN goes to Venezuela to get some recipes for their Feature page.
Cat Casserole
Elephant Under Glass
Grass Gumbo
Now THAT’S funny
THEIR society is SO violent that their criminals are running up here for refuge and THEY want to lecture US on crime? Really???
Yeah....Venezuela can’t even keep toilet paper on the shelves.
Listening to clown Brown crying about gun control along with the other broad whoever she is.
Totally cynical political opportunists.
Does CNN want to look to those countries for immigration policies too?
A Brit lecturing us on crime. This is another reason I don’t particularly like the British.
I wish I remember the name of the documentary but it was about citizens arming themselves and creating citizen armies in Mexico. What did the government do? Came in and took away their weapons saying it was dangerous? LOL. They come into Narco country, where the Narco armies are armed to the teeth and remove from innocent civilians the one thing they could count on to keep safe.
Mexico has gun control..lol.
That sort of call to action makes some sense. It really doesn’t take the full reality into consideration though.
I’ve had an account with AT&T clear back into the early 1970s when it was Pacific Bell. I’ve gone through their name changes until now, and I’m not going to switch my 47 year business relationship with them any time soon.
As soon as I change to another service, they could just as easily do something I don’t like, and then I’d be on to a third carrier and shortly after that on to a third or fourth...
I do believe we should contact the people we do business with and tell them we do not approve.
Businesses these days don’t seem concerned about the bottom line. Gillette isn’t crying uncle and they got stung pretty bad.
While I agree with you on principle, I also have to look at the reality of it.
Cancelling my account isn’t going to do a hill of beans worth of good.
