According to the Fairfax County Police Department, there is a man with weapon at the USA Today office in McLean, VA. They are advising the public to avoid the area. Please check here for continued updates.
A big knife?
A pointed stick?
A handful of lingonberries?
Heck, I have a CC permit. That makes me a “man with a weapon”. Big deal.
Depends on who you ask.
Has it esclated to the point of our side attacking the enemy strongholds like USA Today and other enemedia outlets?
Not yet. But that is the plan.
LOL Man with weapon is NOT equal to Active shooter.
To the USA Today snowflakes, “weapon” could mean “plastic straw,” “MAGA hat,” or “American flag.”
A Philly cheesesteak wrapped in paper
I once read a book, “The Illuminati” (fiction) by a Christian author, don’t remember his name, who wrote about some leftists who claimed to be conservatives and started shooting up a peaceful protest. This has been probably 20 - 25 years ago.
Somebody opened a flip phone and farted.
Evidently this is completely fake.
It’s the headline on Drudge right now.
That is totally absurd. Next time you have an asshole cop say that to you just casually look at your surroundings and then point out the improvised weapons you see: rocks, glass bottles, sticks, etc. and focus on any of the ones that can kill more effectively than your pocket knife.
People kill people.
Probably. We Trump supporters are all fat and happy. Had a couple of dynamite weeks. And then bam. Why would any of us rock a boat that is on it’s way to certain victory ?
How does that differ, exactly, from McConnell’s house being beset by demonstrators, some of whom were no doubt armed?

USA Today’s Virginia HQ evacuated amid reports of man with weapon
“Employees inside a northern Virginia office building that houses Gannett headquarters and its flagship outlet USA Today were evacuated Wednesday amid reports of an armed man on the premises, officials and the newspaper said.
“We are responding to reports of a man with weapon at the Gannett Building located at 7950 Jones Branch Drive in McLean. Please avoid the area,” Fairfax County Police tweeted at 12:25 p.m.”
I don’t think that is ‘tin foil hat’ at all.
Very plausable in fact.
While incidental exposure of a concealed firearm (with a permit) is not a crime in Virginia, intentional display of even a holstered weapon is considered brandishing. Open carry is legal for most people. Carrying in a posted private area is considered trespassing and the person can be cited and prohibited from entering again.
I wonder which of these is considered “active shooter” by the folks at USA Today.
I have heard that in the U.K. they confiscate butter knives.
Antifa and the FBI!!!! Why haven’t they declared antifa a terrorist organization group...hmmmmm?!!
Unless going into a courthouse or airport most states regard any knife with a blade less than 3 1/2” not a weapon.....
Unless used in the commission of a crime.....
If I didn’t have 12 members of my extended family with me, including grandkids, I likely would have made an issue of it.
Sadly, the cops don’t care about violating your constitutional rights. They have a job to do and the violators will need to argue constitutional rights in court.
AAMOF, that exactly what they will say, “You’ll have to tell it to the judge.”
Whip out federal law and tell him otherwise. State or local laws may vary, but 15USC29 says a 3 “ knife is not a weapon...unless so used.
