Does anyone actually expect Rep. Scummingsbag (D-Md) to be an honest overseer of federal money given to Baltimore? Ask his wife about that after checking all her bank accounts.
The Democrats have turned Baltimore into a charnel house all the while raking in millions in contracts/kickbacks and plain old political machine corruption.
I lived there for many years and as a small business operator, (like some many other small businessmen), knew how the corruption and incompetence operated. However, nobody would listen to us because all the leaders were Democrats and up to their crooked necks in that corruption.
I got out of Baltimore and after the death of my sister, literally never went back. Even her homeowners’ association was corrupt and nobody cared.
Baltimore recently got most of its systems encrypted by ransomware. It’s very likely that they permanently lost untold tens of millions of dollars of financial records.
Would that be a stroke of intentional malfeasance or just a convenient encryption?
The Fed should conduct a forensic audit.
A billion here, and a billion there, pretty soon you’re talking about some REAL corruption
What bothers me A LOT is that a YUGE percentage of the population has no concept of how much larger a billion is than a million and a trillion is than a billion.
So annual deficits of $1,000,000,000,000 don’t have nearly enough cognative impact on those of us whose pockets are getting picked

Explain why he doesnt give a damn about the children of his constituents, but gets all riled up about if extra blankets arent available for kids at the border.
Don’t fool yourself. They can tell where it went, but they won’t. It went into the treasury of the DNC and the Democrat politicians bank accounts or pockets.
When it comes to taxpayer money, either collecting or spending, many who deal with these numbers are happy to keep people fooled.
Same old problem. They need a financial overseer on the job at all times. The money is being stolen, plain and simple.
“FLUSH” is the right word........................
Audit both the City of Baltimore and Elijah Cummings.
Make the results public.

The perception that mass shootings are a “white man’s problem” lingers around the country because white mass shooters tend to get more publicity.
Around the same time that the media was focused on the mass shootings in El Paso and Dayton, 60 people were shot in Chicago over the weekend. 24 of those people were shot in four hours.
Baltimore reached its 200th murder victim of the year during its “Ceasefire Weekend”.
4 people were killed in 4 days in Kansas City. 6 men were shot in Philly during the filming of a rap video.
Even in Toronto, 15 people were wounded in shootings over the weekend. Over 350 people have been shot this year in the Canadian city which has gun control, no NRA, and none of the usual excuses.
It will never happen. The FBI is not interested in dealing with the massive theft of Government funds in Black inner city neighborhoods. They are only interested in removing President Trump from Office.
$16 billion, equal to the GDP of Jamaica pop. around 3 million , went to his district with 700k citizens. Wow, just wow. In one year no less!!!
I think times were much better in the past when we paid “overpriced lazy” Baltimorans to build ships, smelt steel and manufacture many desirable things for us. Right Bert?.

Cummings message to Baltimore seems to be "I got mine. You'all gettin' nuttin."
Those times are long gone. There is a big competative world out there.
We no longer can bask in the economic post WW II glory begot by a world torn asunder and unable to function. Others have gone to work and have become competition. We must and are competing.
Americans that don’t live under rocks and can see the real world relish the competition. We thrive on it.
