Mexico on Sunday threatened to take legal action against the United States for failing to protect its citizens after this weekend's mass shooting in the border city of El Paso.
Of the 20 people gunned down at a Walmart adjacent to the Cielo Vista Mall, at least seven were Mexican citizens, and Foreign Minister Marcelo Ebrard promised Mexico City will act.
In a statement, the Foreign Ministry called the attack in El Paso a "terrorist act against innocent Mexicans."

Trump should have closed the border (at least temporarily) on Mexico when he first suggested doing it to let our so-called “southern neighbors” know we’re not taking their BS. In my opinion, he missed a golden opportunity to put Mexico on its heels and make them respect our sovereignty.
The ONLY thing that is respected in this world is strength. Everything else (talk, negotiations, diplomatic niceties, etc.) is rightly perceived as weakness.
Counter Sue.
Average salary in Mexico is <$8500.
Average income in the US is $47,000.
That's 5.5x higher.
So what ever Mexico sues the US for, divide it by the 8 mexican citizens killed.
Then multiply it by 5.5 for the difference in wages.
Then multiply it by 25 * 365 = 9125. = # of us citizens killed by Mexican citizens.
So basically we should countersue for 50,187 times whatever Mexico sues us for.
This has to be a joke. A bad one.
Legal action?! Sure, ask US to repatriate all Mexican nationals back to Mexico. Round them up, send them home. All of them! Let them feel safer at home, let us be safer.

I did read earlier on a liberal website that some moron wondered if any died in El Paso because they were too afraid to go to a hospital.

If that flys then we can sue Mexico for every illegal entry from the south. Not exactly a winner. If Mexico cares so much, Close the border! Don’t send your Mexicans and imigrants to that nasty third world country to the north.
If illegals in El Paso are afraid to go to a hospital there, they can go to one in Juarez.
Mexicans should be forced to stay in Mexico...where they belong.
