During coverage of the horrific mass shootings that happened over the weekend, on Monday, NBCs Today show eagerly touted Democrats rushing to blame President Trumps rhetoric for the attack in El Paso, Texas. Several quotes from 2020 Democratic presidential candidates claiming the President bears some responsibility for the killings were featured in the report.
And a lot of people looking at Washington now. The two mass shootings quickly reignited the nationwide debates over guns, immigration, and racism, co-host Savannah Guthrie proclaimed. White House correspondent Kristen Welker followed up by announcing: It comes as some Democrats are calling on the President to not only take action but to change his rhetoric.
After playing clips of the President speaking to reporters on Sunday, Welker pointed out: Mr. Trump ignored questions about whether the El Paso shooters anti-immigrant essay shared similarities with some of his own rhetoric. She then added: And now, some of the Presidents previous public comments targeting undocumented immigrants are facing renewed scrutiny.
The reporter then turned to Trumps political opponents to pile on:
WELKER: Now, several Democratic presidential candidates argue the President bears some responsibility for the shooting in El Paso.
SEN. BERNIE SANDERS [I-VT]: I say to President Trump, please stop the racist, anti-immigrant rhetoric.
FMR. REP. BETO OROURKE [D-TX]: These are white men motivated by the kind of fear that this President traffics in.
WELKER: Joe Biden tweeting, We must do what Trump wont: condemn this evil and eradicate it from our society.
She at least briefly allowed for some response to those accusations: White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney defending his boss and pushing back. A soundbite ran of Mulvaney telling Chuck Todd on Sundays Meet the Press: I blame the people who pulled the trigger, Chuck. Goodness gracious, is someone really blaming the President? These people are sick.
Amazingly, none of the network morning shows on Monday mentioned reports that the shooter in Dayton, Ohio was a self-described leftist, Antifa supporter, and fan of liberal politicians like Elizabeth Warren.
NBCs nasty coverage echoed similar reporting on CBS This Morning that hyped Democrats claims that Trump should be held accountable for the violence.
The Walmart shooter wrote in his manifesto that President Trump had nothing to do with motivating him but that the MSM would probably blame the President anyways. He has been proven correct about that. .
No, he doesn’t, you festering scumbags.
You do.
NBC = LIARS
Trump should never take another question from these networks. If they ask him something, he should say “sorry, I don’t comment to people who accuse me and my supporters of complicity in murder!”.
Ditto!..................
Not a single member of the communist media cartel has told the truth about the Dayton shooter. Not one. To find the truth you have to go to Breitbart, Fox or some conservative blog. In fact, they’re all actively lying about who and what the guy was and why he shot up his peers, including his own sister.
Imagine their reaction if someone said Obama and company had responsibility for Benghazi?
They blamed a defenseless schlub for a video that no one had watched...........m
So does my cat.
And I would explain to you people why, but your ignorance makes that impossible.
Thankfully, the Washington Times has an accurate story on the Ohio gunman. I posted it on my Facebook page.
Your car is a liberal?.................!
The media bears some too then
Nothing but 24/7 hate Trump...
The left and media were to blame for Scalise’s shooting.
They call it a “Public Service” ...............
LOL
Well he’s part white and part black but he has disowned the white part.
Was 0bama held responsible for shootings?
Obie made it open season on law enforcement officers. Not one flipping word about his culpability from the Dems and MSM.
He was their god...........
Yep.
But just as the seriousness of the charges goes one way the the buck never got here goes the other.
