Activists in Poland say so-called LGBT-free zones across the predominantly Catholic country point to efforts by the ruling Law and Justice (PiS) party to stoke anti-LGBT sentiment ahead of a parliamentary election this fall.
Local media reports suggest that across Poland, more than two dozen cities and towns — some led by PiS members — have declared their regions LGBT-free zones in recent months. The majority are situated in the historically conservative southeastern part of the country.
While the declarations are not enforceable, activists say they signal a targeted effort to exclude LGBT residents.
"It's a statement saying that a specific kind of people is not welcome there," said Ola Kaczorek, co-president of the Warsaw-based Love Does Not Exclude Association.
The number of supposedly LGBT-free regions has grown since Warsaw Mayor Rafał Trzaskowski signed a declaration in February supporting sexual and gender diverse communities in that city, Kaczorek said.

I worked with a LOT of gay guys in graphics departments at investment banks.
The ones that mentioned having a “roommate” and left it at that, I didn’t give a ####.
The ones that wore it on their sleeves made me nauseous.
Some of the guys wow really didn’t talk about it were some of the nicest guys I knew. God will judge their sins, not me.
But the loudmouths, or really flagrantly fruity ones were a turnoff.
That’s the way of it, all right.
Freedom of association is freedom to not associated.
Freedom of speech doesn’t mean we have to listen.

It’s when they try to shove it down your throat that it gets revolting. Or if you say women don’t have penises or men don’t have periods and you get fired that gets people angry.
They’re not after tolerance, not even acceptance, but exaltation, speech control, forced indoctrination and special treatment.
Glad to hear there unlike here, there are still a lot of sane people in Poland.

I don’t hear people into S&M speaking about it out loud at work and forcing their kinks on people.
But that is probably next.
Just don’t understand why we have parades,flags,days,months to celebrate who you have sex with,seems like an infant just seeking attention
The Lgbtqwerty crowd wanted tolerance. They got tolerance. Now they want acceptance. Some may accept their lifestyle, some may not. But what they really want is approval and celebration of their lifestyle. For many people that is a bridge too far. And despite their attempts, you can’t legislate approval and celebration. And if they keep trying to do that, there is going to continue to be pushback.

I don’t feel this is the proper approach for governments to take in dealing with the problem of sexual perversity. Instead of pushing them away, homosexuals should be encouraged to seek help and the state should make that help available. On the other hand, it must be clearly understood by all that sexual perversity targeting children, in any form, will simply not be tolerated.

Correction - I don’t see any straights having parades, months or flags - it’s only a particular type that demands that we celebrate them and put them on a pedestal for their choice of orifice.
Not happening. By force of arms if necessary.
