No, what I said was right. Tucker Carlson points it out in his new book. Kristol was fairly positive toward Trump until the debate in South Carolina whet Trump blasted Bush and the Iraq War. As Tucker documents, Kristol became an enraged Never Trumper when that happened, and had never looked back. Take a look at Tucker’s book, it’s all there with quotes and footnotes
You know ever since Carrie I always thought how cool telekinesis would be. Get into someone’s mind and drive them insane. And Trump can unleash that power just by telling the truth. It’s awesome.
I empathize with Kristol insofar as I originally didn't trust Trump. I worked in NYC for years and he was a typical NYC Republican...pro abortion, pro gun control, and so on. I feared he'd be just like Willard.
Then, he simply started taking like a Street fightin' man and, over time, his abortion and gun views "woke." Was is a scam? It was hard to say at first, but after a while it became clear that Cruz and everyone else hadn't a chance against Hillary. We absolutely knew where she stood on the matters of importance. Trump may be playing to the audience, but he's the only one between us and certain peril. I may have ha doubts but I wasn't a NeverTrumper.
Thankfully, Trump has proven outstanding. Anyone "conservative" who remains a NeverTrumper at this late stage in the game isn't principled, but prideful.

You are just noting those things that go into making Kristol a bona fide POS. At this juncture, anyone who still sees either of the Bushes as good Presidents needs their head examined. I am ashamed to say it took most of W’s second term for me to come to that realization.
