One of George W. Bush's daughters panned President Trump after he criticized Rep. Elijah Cummings and called the Democrat's Baltimore-based district a "disgusting, rat and rodent infested mess."
Jenna Bush Hager, who is a co-host on Today with Hoda & Jenna, reacted to a clip of Baltimore-born CNN anchor Victor Blackwell tearing up as he defended his hometown.
"I taught in West Baltimore. I adore my kids, their parents, and grandparents. They all want the same thing I want for my kids: the chance for their children to have safe, happy and productive lives. Lets think about the language we use, who it hurts," the 37-year-old former first daughter said.

A residual holdover of that Bush worship is that is that even today many Freepers will defend his Iraq War, even though Trump calls it a disastrous mistake; even though it killed hundreds of thousands of Iraqis, cost us trillions of dollars, led to the rise of ISIS, and empowered Iran.
Yet neither Bush nor his family ever supported the suckers among the GOP rank and file that treated him like a God. You naively stood up for him, but the Bushes don't return the favor.
Said the daughter of a mealy mouthed president.
Every Bush can rot for all I care.
We were not asked if we wanted the USA to be turned into North Mexico.
How does that post of yours relate to this article?
“a mealy mouthed president.”
I dont’ mean disrespect, just wondering: were you one of the freepers who worshiped George Bush back in the day, and wouldn’t hear criticizm of him?
Jenna, please order another margarita.... and shut up.
Dear Entire Bush Family,
Shut up.
Regards,
L
Language like “jobs Americans don’t want to do”?
Jenna Bush is a democrat. enuf said.
So had she eschewed SS protection by then?
No doubt she is more interested into saying the right thing for her social circle than what happens to the kids of Baltimore.
Yes, do we so easily forget that the Left utterly hated George W. Bush while mocking and attacking him pretty much every day of his presidency?
Of course, now that George W. Bush is out of power and an an anti-Trumper, he is suddenly a darling of the Left. Are we so easily fooled?
What I'm trying to say here is that playing by Queensbury Rules is not going to make the Left like or even respect Trump.
Not in the slightest.
So might as well fight.
“How does that post of yours relate to this article?”
Were you a Bush-follower back in the day? I lost friends because I spoke up against George Bush back when he was (a disastrous) president. Funny, now you can’t find anybody who will admit to ever being an admirer of the guy. I’m sure he’s a nice fellow, but never should have been president.
I used to defend W even after his stupid faux pas and continuing to sell us out - no more.
“He can’t... he can’t get fooled again.”
Jenna - you and your dad can STFU. The Democrats started this language war and by God, we’ll be the ones to finish it.
> It used to be a capital offense on Freerepublic to criticize George Bush.
That’s what the second date on my profile marks. FR went one way and I went another. Took another 8 years or so for FR to get back on track.
“Excuse me Sir, How would You describe the Ideal Woman?”
“What would she Be”

Yes, we don’t want to be speaking like the ‘commoners’ now, do we?
Trump should be more like Curious George, and let the Left and its propaganda-machine roll all over him.
“What I’m trying to say here is that playing by Queensbury Rules is not going to make the Left like or even respect Trump.”
Outstanding analogy!
I never disliked him. What I didn’t like about him was his whiny voice and character. He rolled over for just about everything and never stood up for himself. And that thing about saw grass going to save our country during the energy crisis??? - under Trump, we’re now an energy exporting country. We could have had that way back during Reagan but every president since whomever never thought about making the US independent from foreign oil. Carter was the worst.
“many Freepers will defend his Iraq War”
I’ll give you a nickel for every comment you can cite from the last 6 months that defended the Iraq war.
