Joseph Mifsud: The name of the generally unknown character in the Russia investigation came up, over and over, in the long awaited House committee hearings with former special counsel Robert Mueller. Republican Jim Jordan of Ohio invoked the name as if it legally required the accompaniment of horror movie theme music; Mueller immediately snapped back that he would not discuss that man. Yet, that did not deter Republicans. Joseph Mifsud, Joseph Mifsud the mantra continued until the shadowy professor had emerged as the Keyser Soze of the Mueller hearings.
Keyser Soze was the mysterious figure in the film The Usual Suspects. Another of the films characters, Verbal Kint, explained to an FBI agent that Soze was a criminal mastermind who committed horrible acts and then disappeared: Nobody has ever seen him since. He becomes a myth, a spook story that criminals tell their kids at night. Rat on your pop, and Keyser Soze will get you.
Mifsud appears to be the story that Republicans tell their kids at night. However, it is a new story for most of us. Political analyst David Gergen acknowledged as much during CNNs live coverage of hearings, saying that Republicans presented things, frankly, we haven't talked about much on CNN. Aspects of this that are on the right but we don't you know we haven't visited because we don't put much stock in a lot of what they're arguing.

Like so much else about virtue signalling, it's a one way f****** street.
it died with the corprat mergers of the 1990s.
we haven’t visited because we don’t put much stock in a lot of what they’re arguing.
Translation.....we know they’re right, but if we ignore them long enough, they’ll be another fire to put out. And if we actually investigated what they’re saying, our whole narrative blows up in our collective faces and we, once again, look like impetuous, foolish kids throwing a temper tantrum over not getting a candy bar.
So Turley narrows his eyes and admits there’s something going on here?
“The Mueller report indicates Mifsud lied repeatedly to investigators on sensitive national security issues and yet, Mueller did not charge him with a single count”
How bout that. You don’t indict the covert asset who actually knows what the whole thing was really about.
Trump attacked Milk Dud with tweets, after Milk Dud has continuously attacked him for years. The democrats are now having an orgy of righteous indignation.
Milk Dud got hit on the head during a Selma march 60 years ago, so it is necessary to talk in hushed tones of awe only, when referring to him. Otherwise, you are exposed as a racist pig.
Mifsud doesn’t exist. He’s a professional con artist.

Gergen is a jerk, “Mifsud appears to be the story that Republicans tell their kids at night. However, it is a new story for most of us. There are a lot of things CNN doesn’t talk about and should. After you lose the airport contracts, then what?

Big surprise there, for Gergen conforms to the notion that the seriousness of the charges is principally some OTHER bunch’s lookout, for they (accusations) are for Democrats to use against others, not to be subject to themselves.
Frankly, they almost never put stock in what their opponents are saying ... but let a Republican take a piss off of his black porch and they’ll bring the rain.
A moderate Republican is someone who still thinks Democrats are great guys while they’re actively twisting the knife.

It’s breathtaking how much the left DOESN’T know about the entire situation. We were talking about and digging into Mifsud ages ago, he was a murky player, but clearly an important one. There is a group on Twitter that dug deep and discovered all kinds of information that made it obvious how Trump was framed and set-up. These Twitter investigators are incredible.
Good piece by Turley. It illustrates a fundamental problem on the left. They lack curiousity and so are incapable of perspective any greater than OrangeManBad.
Looks like I got Milk Dud confused with John Lewis about the Selma march. However, they do look like brothers.
Mule head was the one that put 4 innocent men in prison so he could keep working with Whitey Bulger, IIRC.
“...Looks like I got Milk Dud confused with John Lewis about the Selma march. However, they do look like brothers....”
Not hard to do. They both look alike: Pure STUPID.

That one event alone should have put Mule Face behind bars for a long time.
“Hes a professional con artist.”
So, like Tyler Durden? And Keyser Soze as the author says?
Mifsud needs to be REVEALED. He should not be able to hide
ln the shadows.
This Mifsud was likely a double agent and he suckered the Dems hook line and stinker.
We need to PUBLISH everything we know or IMAGINE about Mifsud.
Nice defense of the press choosing to dismiss a key player in a drama they contend is of national significance. "Oh, only republicans talk about him, no need to take that seriously". Excellent point /s
Oh, and Democrats have too many fake bogeymen to tell their kids scary bedtime stories about so they just bring in drag queens to tell them stories at the library.
