In Repetitious Rant, Scarborough Trashes McConnell as 'Moscow Mitch

Joe Scarborough should keep a lookout for a thank-you card from Mitch McConnell. Because the last time someone tried to hang an unflattering moniker on the Senate Majority Leader, it flopped so badly that Mitch actually fundraised off it!
Readers will remember Don Blankenship, failed candidate for a Senate seat from West Virginia, bizarrely attempting to brand McConnell "Cocaine Mitch." McConnell had fun with it, selling lots of Cocaine Mitch T-shirts. And when Blankenship got blown out in his primary, McConnell tweeted "thanks for playing" in response, accompanied by a photo of himself that our eagle-eyed Curtis Houck noted was photoshopped from the Netflix series Narcos.
So "Cocaine Mitch" was a huge bust, you should excuse the expression. But that didn't stop Joe Scarborough, on today's Morning Joe, from attempting to brand McConnell "Moscow Mitch."

I saw some of this rant, as usual it was all rhetoric and no substance.
Joe(Joke) never told his audience what was in the bill.

RE:”
McConnell also objected to legislation that would have required campaigns and candidates to report offers offers of election-related aid from foreign governments. “ Wait, Dems been telling us for 2+1/2 years that that's already illegal to accept information from any foreigner on an election opponent..

Given the Russia hoax has been disproven, I wonder how these guys can do this with a straight face? Trump working with Russia during the election may or may not have been disproven but that's not what this is about. The House passed a bill to provide more funding for election security and McConnell said the Senate is not going to take it up. On the same day that the Senate Intel Committee released a report detailing foreign interference with our elections. Bad timing on Mitch's part.

This is deranged behavior even for Joe. I wonder if his ratings are tanking now that he can’t do his daily cup of Mueller-Russia conspiracy?

Mitch is getting rich selling us out to China, too.

Mitch has been a little too much against increasing election security. People can try and defend Mitch all the way, but Mitch is very adamantly against increasing security, and one really has to wonder about his wife and her family.
Or to put it in another light, if Mitch was a Democrat and trying to block increased election security, and his wife's family was profiting from ties to China, we'd all be up in arms, but Mitch has that vaunted (R) next to his name, so he's untouchable.

Which is why I'm wondering if "Moscow Mitch" might just stick. And he doesn't have a walk-over for re-election.

Agreed. "Moscow Mitch" is very simple and memorable, and the voters can easily understand that Mitch personally vowed to block the increased election security. Just as importantly, the voters can understand how his wife's family (and by proxy Mitch and his wife) benefitted from their ties to Communist China.
However, he's facing a Democrat, and they are not competent enough to take advantage of this. Plus, the people in Kentucky don't care as long as Mitch still has an (R) next to his name. He will cruise to victory no matter what.
