Mitch has been a little too much against increasing election security. People can try and defend Mitch all the way, but Mitch is very adamantly against increasing security, and one really has to wonder about his wife and her family. Which is why I'm wondering if "Moscow Mitch" might just stick. And he doesn't have a walk-over for re-election.

Agreed. "Moscow Mitch" is very simple and memorable, and the voters can easily understand that Mitch personally vowed to block the increased election security. Just as importantly, the voters can understand how his wife's family (and by proxy Mitch and his wife) benefitted from their ties to Communist China.
However, he's facing a Democrat, and they are not competent enough to take advantage of this. Plus, the people in Kentucky don't care as long as Mitch still has an (R) next to his name. He will cruise to victory no matter what.
