The House passed a bill to provide more funding for election security and McConnell said the Senate is not going to take it up. On the same day that the Senate Intel Committee released a report detailing foreign interference with our elections. Bad timing on Mitch's part.
Mitch has been a little too much against increasing election security. People can try and defend Mitch all the way, but Mitch is very adamantly against increasing security, and one really has to wonder about his wife and her family.
Or to put it in another light, if Mitch was a Democrat and trying to block increased election security, and his wife's family was profiting from ties to China, we'd all be up in arms, but Mitch has that vaunted (R) next to his name, so he's untouchable.

Which is why I'm wondering if "Moscow Mitch" might just stick. And he doesn't have a walk-over for re-election.
