It's all optics as he later stated on Mostly Stupid nbc,he once again stated that the dems lost the optic battle big time with Mueller fumbling the ball over and over and not on his game at all.

I got to hear a little bit of Rush today his analysis was superb. I think our side will do a lot more investigation into the origins of the fisa warrant and all the lies that were toldy by the fbi and others. Could be some interesting findings down the road.Maybe a few do some jail time.What do you think?

The best (and I can’t quote it directly) was when Tom McClintock said to Mueller “...you put it in a bag, set it on a doorstep, lit it and rang the doorbell”.

Well like my grandmother before she passed, even when the Democrats asked him anything more complicated then some he could answer “true” or “correct” to he seemed lost.
I agree. If the OIG and Durham investigations turn out like we hope they will, the Dems will forget impeachment and go on the defensive. They will find themselves caught up in the impeachment tar baby and have lots of explaining to do in 2020.
My fear is that these reports will be delayed and delayed or they won’t live up to expectations. However, they are huge shoes yet to drop that will change the entire election dynamic. The Dems know this, which is why they are doubling down on impeachment. They have painted themselves in a corner and are desperate. This makes them very dangerous.
We do need a few indictments to demonstrate that there is accountability. Barr must deliver.

A skilled trial attorney (which I am), would have asked Mueller whether he and Comey “communicated directly or indirectly.”
