New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, fresh from a bitter public spat with top House Democrats, unloaded on President Trump Sunday afternoon after he suggested that unnamed progressive congresswomen "go back" to their own "corrupt" and "crime infested" countries of origin, then "come back and show us how it is done."
"You can't leave fast enough," Trump had written.
Ocasio-Cortez's fiery Twitter return barrage could be the call to action that unifies a party currently divided along establishment and progressive lines, observers said, even as some analysts blamed House Speaker Nancy Pelosi for laying the groundwork for Trump's remarks.
"Mr. President, the country I 'come from,' & the country we all swear to, is the United States," Ocasio-Cortez wrote. "But given how you’ve destroyed our border with inhumane camps, all at a benefit to you & the corps who profit off them, you are absolutely right about the corruption laid at your feet."
Ocasio-Cortez continued: "You are angry because you don’t believe in an America where I represent New York 14, where the good people of Minnesota elected @IlhanMN, where @RashidaTlaib fights for Michigan families, where @AyannaPressley champions little girls in Boston. You are angry because you can’t conceive of an America that includes us. You rely on a frightened America for your plunder. You won’t accept a nation that sees healthcare as a right or education as a #1 priority, especially where we’re the ones fighting for it. Yet here we are."
Trump's tweets did not name any specific congresswomen. Ocasio-Cortez, who is of Puerto Rican descent, was born in the Bronx, New York, and raised in suburban Westchester County.

In his tweets I see no where where he said they cannot leave fast enough.
Either I have not seen that tweet , or yet again the media lie.

He did not tell "...unnamed progressive congresswomen {to} "go back" to their own "corrupt" and "crime infested" countries of origin."
His tweet specifically told "...“Progressive” Democrat Congresswomen, who originally came from countries" the above. By that qualification ("who") he clearly excluded the dimwitted AOC.
But that kind of distortion is a basic technique of propaganda.
Donald Trump and AOC are both working toward the same goal.
Donald Trump wants to make America great again by improving its policies, which he’s been successfully doing. AOC’s goal is to destroy the Democratic party, which would help make America great again, which she’s successfully been doing.
The more AOC speaks, the more she hurts the Democrats. So it’s wise for Donald Trump to keep her in the public eye as much as possible, thereby goading her on to make ever-more outrageous statements that hurt the Democrats.

However, I think it’s an unforced error. In a sense it’s an unforced error much like the statement against Trump made by the UK diplomat. This gives the left and the media something to pounce on and distracts from his accomplishments.
It won’t hurt too much with the base, but it’s always the mushy middle that decides elections and they will vote on things like this.
This will go away as more things come along. Trump should say nothing and not step in it further. But you know that this will be resurrected at election time.
Trump made Pelosi defend the squad, and this is why;
I think the Presidents thoughts mirror those of a great many of us. Is there a country where these people are coming from that is not corrupt, mismanaged or in need of reform? Why don’t they stay and change it instead of abandoning their friends and family to better their own future. Pretty selfish. Then they tell us how bad our country is. What nerve!

I don't think of this as an error at all.
People are in shock over his tweets only because we're still not used to a leader who speaks so bluntly and truthfully.
Don't underestimate the massive number people are sick of being lectured to by Ilhan Omar, a recipient of America's greatness and generosity and yet an ungrateful degenerate who hates the country that took her in.
We see this. And we know who her friends are.
