You’ll never hear this from our despicable Republican lawmakers.
gibberish.
Suggest you find another hill to die on.
So, are they wasting their money?
Harris has been hiding the facts of her ineligibility while raising $$$ for herself - even her webrite glosses this over anyone contributing money to her so-called campaign is a dupe
I think it is clear enough that natural born means being born a citizen as opposed to being a naturalized citizen, and being born here makes a person a citizen.
All that these speculations and attempts to redefine what the USSC has done only makes people look ignorant and racist.
Don’t we have enough problems without feeding the D troll media?
“...Since a vice president must be able to succeed to the presidency, Harris could not run as vice president, either.”
Actually Larry, that is NOT the reason. See below, the REAL reason.
Constitution of the United States
Amendment 12, Last sentence
“But no person constitutionally ineligible to the office of President shall be eligible to that of Vice-President of the United States.”
Ha. Ha. Ha.
Obama already trashed that by getting away with it.
And while the Constitution does not explicitly state that any candidate for president must be a sentient human being, Kamalback Harris and Convulsi Gabbard fail on both those counts as well.
My belief is that the parents of a candidate must be citizens. Note that the word “parents” is plural. In other words, both the mother and father must be citizens. In my case, my father was born in Texan and my mother was born in Vancouver, BC. So my birth in the United States to a Canadian citizen and an American citizen disqualifies me to be President of the United States. British common law at the time of United States independence required both parents to be citizens in order for their children to be Natural Born Citizens. Also, United States and English common law at the time our Constitution was framed were identical.
After Barak Hussein Obama the provision for Natural Born Citizen is moot. Resident 0f The USA is probably the only requieremet now.
The left only cares if they can see trumps tax returns. On a side note: The states who are adding to the eligibility requirements to be president.- clearly they must be slapped down hard. Even congress had no authority to do that. Congress should however ensure that the requirements set forth in the constitution are upheld. Such as the requirement to be a natural born citizen.
Half the demonrat candidates aren’t eligible but they can claim precedent after the Kenyan.
Larry Klayman? Everyone should stop reading right there. Oh, and if you post a link to a Klayman fantasy, you need to be unceremoniously sterilized
Thats all fine and dandy, but how are you going to enforce it?
It may well be enforceable for a GOP Candidate. But a demoncrap Candidate? Especially one of color? Fuggitaboutit.
In the discussion of Harris, the article does not say why she does not meet the natural born citizen test.
Did I miss it in the article?
“Her father is described as “an African-American from Jamaica.” Her mother Shyamala Gopalan was from India and graduated from the University of Delhi at nineteen. Her parents separated a few years after Harris was born and divorced when Harris was seven. Her mother entered the country only 4 years before Harris was born, and her father only 3 years before.”
I posted about Gabbard a month so ago. Her mother was US when Gabbard was born in Samoa. But all i could find about her father was he was US citizen, but that was a statement when he was a congressman from hawaii. Can’t find the father’s status when Gabbard was born in Samoa.
The U.S. Supreme Court has held that it was "never doubted" that natural born citizens are those born in the U.S. of U.S. citizen parents. Minor v. Happersett, 88 US 162, 167 (1875).
This is a red flag. Everyone one who cites Minor v. Happersett does not know what they are talking about. Everything thereafter in his article is nonsense and can be ridiculed at will.
You see, Minor v. Happersett was a case that had nothing to do with citizenship, natural born or otherwise. It was a case about sufferage. Minor was a female U.S. Citizen who wanted to vote. Her state said no, pointed out that State Law gave the vote to only males.
Not only did the case have nothing to do with citizenship, the Supreme Court said that it was perfectly constitutional for her state to deny her the vote. So, when you see anyone throw Minor v. Happersett on the table, you can be sure that you are dealing with one of the clueless.
Larry Klayman should go after BO, too! BOs entire life is full of questions and controversies!
