I think it is clear enough that natural born means being born a citizen as opposed to being a naturalized citizen, and being born here makes a person a citizen.

All that these speculations and attempts to redefine what the USSC has done only makes people look ignorant and racist.

Don’t we have enough problems without feeding the D troll media?

Exactly. For all intents and purposes, you are either a natural born citizen or a naturalized citizen. If you’re an American citizen and you’ve never been through the naturalization process, then you are a natural born citizen.

“and being born here makes a person a citizen.”

The birthright you refer to is from Feudal times when the Kings owned and had jurisdiction over everything in the kingdom, including serfs passing thru and having babies (very infrequently). Most of the world’s nations eschew this jurisdiction to favor citizenship determined by parents. These countries include India and Jamaica, Sen. Harris’ parents’ countries of origin.

Agree. Their are only two types of citizens, natural born or naturalized, there is no third type. Never even heard anyone suggest their was a third type until the whole Obama birther crap started. Obama was a horrible President and the most un-American President (because of his upbringing, not his race) we ever had. However, he was born in Hawaii to a mother who was a natural born citizen so that makes him a natural born citizen.

The basis of the “natural born citizen” argument lies with citizenship exclusivity.

Yes, Kamala Harris is a US citizen, born in the USA.

But does she have a different citizenship too?

If she was arrested in the US, would the police have to notify the Jamaican consul?

“Consular notification and access is the obligatory process by which federal, state, and local law enforcement and legal authorities provide information to foreign government representatives regarding their citizens in the United States and permit foreign consular officers to assist their nationals.”

https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/consularnotification.html

https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/consularnotification/QuarantinedForeignNationals/countries-and-jurisdictions-with-mandatory-notifications.html

Some politicians are globalists, not 100% loyal to the land of their birth.

The founders wanted the President to have undivided (and unquestionable) loyalty to the USA.

You are incorrect, born in the USA with a US citizen father. Is how the founders would have defined natural born citizen, since a wife assumes the citizenship of her husband back in their day.

In other words no other citizenship but US at birth.

Gabbard has a stronger claim than Harris since American Samoa is a US territory. Should be interesting if anyone of note makes the argument that they are not NBC.

Couldn’t disagree more. It is not “clear enough that natural born means being born a citizen as opposed to being a naturalized citizen, and being born here makes a person a citizen”. As Klayman states, natural born means born in the US AND of two citizen parents. The rationale for this is the president must have loyalty to the US and no other country. By your reasoning, Chinese parents, having a baby in the US would make that baby eligible to be president. If those parents never became citizens and their loyalties were with Chine, then the child could well have mixed loyalties. That is what natural born is trying to prevent.

“Don’t we have enough problems without feeding the D troll media?” I would propose that while we have a lot of problems, there is none more important or vital to the future of this nation as the constant attempt by the Left, and for that matter the deep swamp, to destroy the foundation of our country — the Constitution. Ignoring the natural born requirement perpetuates the ignoring of the Constitution, and for what, expediency?
