except it is a felony not to answer the census questions.

WHERE do people get this nonsense? Felony? LOL! Seriously? Do people just make stuff up because they think that's what the law should be?

13 U.S. Code § 221.

(a) Whoever, being over eighteen years of age, refuses or willfully neglects, when requested by the Secretary, or by any other authorized officer or employee of the Department of Commerce or bureau or agency thereof acting under the instructions of the Secretary or authorized officer, to answer, to the best of his knowledge, any of the questions on any schedule submitted to him in connection with any census or survey provided for by subchapters I, II, IV, and V of chapter 5 of this title, applying to himself or to the family to which he belongs or is related, or to the farm or farms of which he or his family is the occupant, shall be fined not more than $100.

(b) Whoever, when answering questions described in subsection (a) of this section, and under the conditions or circumstances described in such subsection, willfully gives any answer that is false, shall be fined not more than $500.

(c) Notwithstanding any other provision of this title, no person shall be compelled to disclose information relative to his religious beliefs or to membership in a religious body.

Oh, by the way, NO ONE has been prosecuted since 1970 for refusing to answer.

That’s what I’m thinking, if Trump can’t get it done, I don’t know who could. We may be lost. But he is trying so hard, we must stand behind him.

There is so much corruption in our government, who ever would have thought.

But, I’m still hoping and praying the corruption in government will be revealed, and then it can be cured. Could just be a naive dream.

I’m willing to disclose how many citizens and non-citizens are in my household. But if the census doesn’t even ask me that, then what do I have to report?

Has Trump made a big mistake by caving? If you remember he decided to cave right after he was sworn in on auditing the 2016 election results for illegal immigrant voting. Likely because of Dem pushback from states.

Unfortunately the result was a momentum change where it seems the Dems have been controlling immigration policy ever since. We need to FIGHT!

It is important to push back as a Trump supporter because he faces pushback from all corners to go easy on immigration.

When I look at the government website for US Customs and Border Protection it shows apprehensions trending up in recent months. That does not seem to be an indicator that illegal entrants are being deterred *more*. In fact virtually every month in 2019 is double what it was the previous year. Still looks like illegals are coming here in droves.

Here’s the website if you don’t believe me.

So you want President Trump to ignore the judges and provoke a Constitutional crisis without the support of his own party?

The judges are the ones provoking a constitutional crisis. Trump is just doing his job - and he's doing it within the boundaries of the existing laws and the Constitution.

It's the Judiciary that's out of line here, not Trump, but he needs to assert his duly vested powers or he'll never achieve the goals of his agenda.

I've had problems recently receiving my mail. Seriously (this is not a "Oh I had a boat accident with all my guns" thing). Some days I get my neighbors' mail and they get mine. We do our best to sort things out.

Is it my responsibility if my census doesn't come in the mail?

Yes, we are arresting more...like double what we were arresting last year, but that almost certainly means that there *are more* to arrest. I guess I’m not totally sure if this means things are getting better or not. What I’d like to know is: Are the net totals of illegals going down or up. I have a really bad feeling that the net total is going up.

Well I have not read all the posts, but I did want to share this that I wrote in another thread:

Barr is a quiet genius. Thoughtful and brilliant. President Trump is patient and also brilliant. I LOVE what they are going to do. More accurate info and more of it.

Another poster wrote:
Barr gave Roberts the finger. Well done.

Which I thought was great!!!!

Thanks, that was my Barr gave Roberts the finger.

I think Barr knows Roberts didn’t do his job and kept it out of the Roberts playbook by recommending use what you already have. Congress set up these agencies so Roberts can’t use his twisted logic to recreate some they already do and is existing.

Only better thing he could have done is break out the bagpipes and play a funeral dirge....

You are funny, patriot.

I’m sorry I should have given you credit for that great line, but I did it in kinda a hurry.

I love Barr, but the bagpipes, not so much.

Don’t you think all of this was his idea?

And what’s with Roberts’ “twisted logic?”

Is he going to be doing this in the future.

It’s sad, but he has been a waste of time.

Yes. I think Barr said it’s a waste of time to get into another court battle and it would take too long. I think we have the data we really need already so let me check around.

Bingo the idea is born and Trump let’s barr support it , his way of showing we can do things legally without a court , quicker , and guess what many who now will be revealed will blame you for getting them exposed

Remember when there was awesome respect for our courts and justice system.

What a horrible change in our world.

At least we now have a president who is trying to do something and accomplishing quite a bit.

As for this l suppose it’s a bit of a knee jerk reaction but do you believe the citizenship question will be on the census? I do not.

I am hard core Trump, I’ll vote for him in 2020 but I am very disappointed.

He should tell Roberts (spit) to go to hell. It is inconceivable that a USA gov census can not ask who is a US citizen. Roberts is a POS and Trump should call him out publicly. Very disappointed.

They send a worker to you if you don’t get the form, and in same cases send the worker anyway.

Regardless, even if you refused to answer the most you can get is a fine and no one has been prosecuted since the 70s.
