Not very smart to criticize someone until you see the FINAL result....You want to talk “ridiculous”, it’s when people jump to conclusions at the very first word of something...

Trump tried, but the court blocked him.

Only because he recognized their non-existent authority over his duly vested powers as president.

The Constitution gives the Judicial no such carte blanche authority over the Executive, but Trump keeps letting them fix a leash on him anyway.

This is not a “surrender.” At this point, with the forms already printed, a change would be impossible anyway. This should have been thought out way before.

The citizenship question was asked since forever, and was only stopped in 1950 and then resumed off and on since then. Questions change. When my great grandparents arrived from Ireland, the first census in which they were included had a question about height (he was very short, like a lot of the Irish).

There are certainly other means, so I think Trump will get it done.

One thing Trump has got to make clear is that, in contrast to Dem smearing, he’s not anti-Hispanic, but simply anti-leftist-sponsored mass invasion.

Fewer and fewer are Hispanic. In fact, Latin Americans make good immigrants and we should give them pride of place again, since one of Obama’s first executive orders was to shave off the Latin American immigration quota and give it to people from “Muslim lands.” Look it up.

A huge number of the current illegals are Africans, paddling across the Rio Grande in rafts after having been landed in Costa Rica and brought up by smugglers. But of course, Obama had his Auntie whatever from Kenya living on welfare in Boston for decades, after having arrived with a visa and simply staying on. Remember that?

I just looked at the Census website and the citizen question still does appear as the 2nd question.

Trump will get even.

I predict massive ICE enforcement in all purple areas ONLY.

Hit ‘em where it will hurt the most.

Also hit districts in blue states where fraud stole seats in 18.

The Supreme Court said no. That question is coming off.

Trump’s own party won’t support him. He’s riding solo in the swamp. I don’t know what you expect.

What other means do you have in mind? I can't think of any.

I expect him to understand the powers vested in him under the Constitution, and USE them to execute the will of the voters who elected him.

He has succumbed over and over again to judges who have absolutely NO constitutional authority over the office of the president.

It's infuriating.

So you want President Trump to ignore the judges and provoke a Constitutional crisis without the support of his own party? And you think that will end well for him/us? I think not.

Representatives and direct Taxes shall be apportioned among the several States which
may be included within this Union, according to their respective Numbers, which shall be
determined by adding to the whole Number of free Persons, including those bound to
Service for a Term of Years, and excluding Indians not taxed, three fifths of all other
Persons.
They are within the three fifths so then the question should be are you a free person, indian or if bound servant else your a three fifthser

Well I considered the first surrender was to that POS Ryan by signing a CR that came with wording that specifically forbid a dime for new wall. As for this l suppose it’s a bit of a knee jerk reaction but do you believe the citizenship question will be on the census? I do not.

“Good grief, people! Get a grip!

Do you think Trump is going to fold on the big issues? Any disappointments we have are due to the Swamp, not Trump.

Do you think it might be possible that his legal team has figured out a way to achieve the objective in a manner that can be executed accurately and quickly, that no court can permanently stop?

If the printed form has a lead time that we can’t meet, then they’ll skin the cat another way.

President Trump and his team aren’t stupid, and they’re not losers like Jeb!, Ryan, et. al.

Keep the faith! “

It’s a fact we still have Obamacare
It’s a fact Hillary walks around free.
It’s a fact the wall hasn’t been built.
It’s a fact we have thousands of service men and women in Iraq, Syria and Afghanistan.
It’s a fact our debt has skyrocketed.
It’s a fact we still support NATO.
It’s a fact we still have Muslims entering this country.

At some point faith needs to be backed up with works.

Who do you think should be President? Obviously Trump is not getting it done, who would be better?

Unless something changes soon, we might just have to accept that the Swamp and GOPe run things. Some people point out the people Trump appointed to the federal judiciary and Supreme Court but all judicial nominations are approved by GOPe McConnell.

__________________________________________________________

But if he doesn’t’ try something that forces his own party to demonstrate their lack of support openly, he simply lets the GOP off the hook. It really boils down to one basic question:; if Trump could never change much of anything nor can change much of anything, why should anyone get excited about voting for him?

This is a question that some voters are going to ask. All the armchair tough-guys on FR calling them “stupid”, “hayseeds”, or whatever are gonna be real sad if the 2020 election doesn’t go their way. I hate to think about what would happen to FR if Trump loses in 2020. Remember how McCain was beating Odumbo before the market tanked in 2007-2008? We are one bad economic downturn away from Trump loosing the single biggest pillar propping him up, the economy. Because...let’s face it...for every cool thing he seems to do, nothing much really changes on the biggest issue for his base, illegal immigration. One could even make the argument that illegal immigration has worsened over this last year of his presidency. Who would have thought?
