U.S. Senator Susan Collins (R-ME) joined a bipartisan group of Senators in cosponsoring legislation introduced by Senators Ben Cardin (D-MD) and Rob Portman (R-OH) to establish a new memorial to honor fallen journalists. The privately funded memorial would be constructed on federal lands within Washington, D.C., to honor journalists, photographers, and broadcasters who have been killed in the line of duty.

I would guess that this has to do with the Arab "journalist" that was killed a few months ago. All of her cosponsors, of course, are Dims.
The Lefty Globalist journalists ?
And we could design in the shape of either the Medical Life Alert medallion or the I’ve Fallen And Can’t Get Back Up Medallion . . . tough choice!
What is that?
More Senator Drama.
“We need to pass this bill as I need a bigger donor list to hit people up for $$$”
Dozens of journalists have been killed in Putinist Russia for the their reportage. Did that stop the Clinton’s from shoveling dirty Russian money into their pockets? Of course not.
Another Senator with nothing useful to do!
A yellow muckrake?
Perhaps something that accepts leaks...like a urinal.
Don’t forget that journalist who was beheaded by ISIS. I can’t remember his name. Daniel something with the WSJ was it?
I’m not going to trash the senators for this effort. Some journalists may be deserving of it.
I can see this. I mean as long as we are flush in cash and it’s not like we are 20 trillion in debt or anything like that. /s
Build a memorial on Federal land in D.C. dedicated to police killed in the line of duty. Then one to firefighters killed in the line of duty. Then maybe we’ll talk. In the meantime f*** the journalist.
I can fully understand the need to build such a memorial. It should be equal to or greater than any WWII or Vietnam memorial. Journalists have done more to defend our land than our soldiers ever have. Journalists are true American patriots.
They have actually won wars. Had it not been for Walter Cronkite’s misrepresenting the truth, the Democrats allies, the North Vietnamese, never would have beaten the South. Thus the American Democratic party won a war for us.
Journalists have kept our nation from losing one of our greatest Presidents, Bill Clinton. Had it not been for their shielding him, he might have been thrown out of office.
Fast forward to today, journalists are protecting our darling Marxist AOC and dearest elder Bernie. And let’s not forget their overlooking their trying to overthrow the 2016 election.
(for those of you that have not figured it out, the above is written in sarcasm)
My real opinion. Susan Collins is a RINO and there is just no way in Hell journalists should have a memorial. When ever one of those jackasses get’s whacked, I see it as no different than another terrorists getting whacked.
“...to establish a new memorial to honor fallen journalists...”
Enlist if you want a medal or memorial.
“Journalists” on MSNBC, CNN, etc. are being killed in the ratings - do they count too?
As far as I am concerned, they are traitors to the United States of America. They betrayed America in the Viet Nam War and every day since. They are trying to get President Trump removed from Office 24/7/365. Each time I read of a journalists getting iced, I say Good Riddance. Count me out when it comes to “honoring “ journalists. I consider them an enemy of the Republic.
When will Senator Collins be marching in Portland, Oregon?
Honor journalists? How about chopping them all up and feeding them to the pigs. Pigs eat garbage. Win-win.
95% of all so called Journalists are self described Democrats, Liberals, Progressives or Socialists.
Of the remaining 5%, four out of five are Liars.
They should put the Memorial on the grounds of the CPUSA.
How stupid is this? Line of duty? Please define.
Not too many journalists today the likes of Ernie Pyle, Bill Mauldin, Edward R. Murrow etc.
