WASHINGTON - Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez teamed up with Sen. Bernie Sanders on Tuesday to demand that Congress declare climate change a national emergency.
This is a political crisis of inaction, Ocasio-Cortez said in a press call announcing her new House resolution. Its going to take political will (and) political courage in order for us to treat this issue with the urgency that the next generation needs in order for us to preserve our way of life and in order for us to preserve our planet as much as we possibly can.
The freshman rep said the House resolution - and companion one that presidential candidate Sanders will introduce in the Senate - is the first step to enacting sweeping reforms to slash greenhouse gas emissions.
We have less than 12 years, Ocasio-Cortez said of the time left to fully enact a global solution.
The largely symbolic resolution would state that global warming caused by humans has created a climate emergency that urgently impacts the health, safety and security of the United States, according to a draft.

Inaction. Ha. Ha. Ha. That is the last thing you can say about climate change. It’s been all climate change 24 hours a day for over 20 years.
.....”AOC’s abandoned her Bronx constituents. She’s only polling 13% there”......
They said early on she wasn’t addressing their concerns, just tells them she’s working on it...when in fact she’s not. Obviously her intentions have been and remain to be just another loud mouth to spew her junk whenever the camera’s roll.
Cue the Beavis and Butthead theme.
Say, aren't you the same beyotch leading the fight to change our way of life from what is today?
Will someone please put this woman out of our misery?
We have to act now or it will be too late again.
Knock it off.
The idiot gorebull warmists are unable to answer questions like yours.
Also, their apartments in DC should not have heating/ac or any carbon produced electricity.
They must walk or ride a bike to and from their congressional offices.
Their congressional offices must not have carbon produced electricity, heating or AC.
The same applies to their meeting rooms and any part of Congress inside the building.
Well, how about:
1. Is today warmer or cooler today than yesterday.
End of exam.
