Enough is enough. The U.S. Justice Department needs to immediately open a criminal civil rights investigation of Antifa, an affiliation of radical activists and left-wing groups whose name, ironically enough, is short for anti-fascists.
Its attack on journalist Andy Ngo was beyond the pale. Federal law enforcement has an obligation to stop any extremist organization that is apparently organizing and precipitating violent attacks, especially if state and local authorities seem reluctant to take action against what has all the makings of a domestic terrorist organization.
We cannot have any confidence that the political leadership of the city of Portland will allow its local law enforcement to do anything about this, either.
The Portland Police Association released a statement after the attack criticizing the mayor for restricting the ability of the police to stop Antifa, saying, Our hands are tied.
The association also says it has no doubt that no such restrictions would not have been in place if this violence had been directed at Antifa.
Mayor Ted Wheeler claims that he had not directed Police Chief Danielle Outlaw or other officials to change their approach to arrests, in addition to defend[ing] the citys response, or lack thereof, to members of Antifa who [have] blocked traffic and harassed bystanders in the past.
But even the U.S. ambassador to Germany criticized the citys executive in a series of tweets, questioning what more needs to happen to Wheelers citizens before protective action will be taken. Wheelers inaction is even less defensible because the mayor of Portland is also its police commissioner.
Ngo was punched, pushed, robbed, and hit with tossed milkshakes purportedly mixed with quick-drying cement.

I can remember in the past - due to chronic massive corruption including drug dealing and murders committed by the crooked cops - when the feds threatened to step in and take control over New Orlean’s police totally cutting city government out.
Its time for that in Portland....time for a federal takeover and the stationing of a goodly number of federal riot police there with instructions to bash skulls the next time Antifa so much as looks at somebody crossways. It will only take one really ferocious beatdown for them to get the message.
Antifa is tarded occupy wallstreet. Street theater if you will going on for years. Portland can deal with it. What you want? Tanks?
> What you want? Tanks?
Anti-terrorist action. Tanks if need be, sure - this is a domestic insurrection that needs to be put down with force.
So like the whiskey rebellion?
Treat ‘em like Branch Davidians.
You mean like they did in Portland?
PREDICTABLE Klansmen media sympathizers whined like little beyotches b/c Georgia police enforced the law.

When democracy failed in Germany after WWI and the government wouldn’t protect people from leftist thugs, people turned to the only people who would intervene to protect them - the brownshirts. The Patriot Act and similar post-9/11 loss of liberties was to ensure us our government would do the same - but instead they were just tightening their control over law-abiding Americans.
Liberals are dangerous, and it’s time for sane folk to step in. What? Are we going to wait until they start ushering us into the gas chambers before we do anything?
Stupid analogy.
Democrat mayors and police chiefs will care if we start bashing Klantifa’s heads in.
When any mayor refuses to fulfill the duty of his office in protecting the citizens by edict then he or she should be arrested and removed from elected office.
So I take it the honorable and redoubtable rank and file of the Portland Police Bureau, work for the mayor and not the public? What are they, the mayors personal palace guard?
