On this weekends broadcast of Fox News Sunday, 2020 presidential hopeful Sen. Michael Bennet (D-CO) criticized President Donald Trumps effort to build a U.S.-Mexico border wall.
Bennet said, The president is acting like we are some weak, pathetic country. We have the ability to treat human beings humanely. We have the ability to lead our hemisphere in a discussion on how to deal with this refugee crisis.
He added, We are a strong and powerful country. We supposed to lead humanity, not make our border a symbol of nativist hostility. That should be an embarrassment for everybody. The symbol of this country is the Statue of Liberty, not Donald Trumps pathetic attempt to build a wall.

If the people in Colorado want to elect this idiot then so be it. To me he is just another crooked politician.
He’ll be one of the first to drop out. Iowa will be the demise of a bunch would-be contenders.
Deport him with them
so, defending our country and communities, homes, families is considered stupid, eh?
what a pathetic politician!
needs to be retired ASAP!
Bennet is scum but a wall by itself is insufficient, the laws against hiring illegals need to be enforced, which would have a much greater effect at getting rid of illegals. When Trump took funds away from e-verify I seriously began to doubt his commitment to actually solving this problem. Not to mention he waited 2 years into his presidency and dems taking over the house before he tried getting funds for a wall. Not happy at all about that, but unfortunately there didn’t appear to be any other republican who was serious about stopping illegals either, so Trump was the best we could do.
When Obama was elected, and the Democrats had majorities in the House and Senate for two years, they did nothing to stop further construction or try to take down the border fence.
Consider how the news would act if the political positions were reversed. If Democrats wanted the fence, and Republicans were the ones who voted for it ten years ago and now opposed it. The news media would call out the Republicans every time they brought it up.
The entire RAT party is the real embarrassment to our country.
Especially the pathetic ones on the clown car running for prez!
Weak, pathetic countries build walls to keep people in. Countries that wish to remain strong, in today’s world, must build walls to keep those who helped make those countries weak and pathetic out.
So because we’re so powerful we should just leave our borders open?
I’m not sure I follow this argument.
He says we should address root causes rather than secure the border, but this is like an emergency room surgeon refusing to clamp an artery until the problem of gang violence is fixed.
Traitor!!
If some elected officials had the BALLS to completely STOP any handouts, including of course cash and offered illegals one thing only and that would be a bus ticket to anyplace in Mexico they wanted to go,the problem would solve itself.
That interview was pathetic. Bennett should go on Mark Levin or Hannity and trie to pull that everthing was great with Obama crap.
Complete retard.
Where do the Democrats find all these morons?
Perfect summary of the Democratic platform - punish the makers...reward the takers.
I DO Not give a crap as to the opinions of Leftist/the MSM. They lie nonstop.
Never mind that we can’t keep them out without a wall...
Trump is Constitutionally required to protect this nation.
Anyone in other levels of government should simply be shown the door, if they don’t support the wall.
Why doesnt anyone point out that EVERYONE in Congress including The Beast and Slick were on board for the Wall/fence. Does no one remember the Fence Act 2006?
I’m certainly embarrassed that Colorado elected you, Bennett.
