VP Pence was called back to the WH to deal with an emergency. He was on AF2, going to an event in Salem NH. The event has been cancelled.

I got it from a former intel analyst that is still plugged into the grapevine. The team members are known to many and some are high enough profile that their movements are known almost daily. Also specialized equipment is involved, that movement is instantly noticed by watchers of such things.
Good to know. Did they report it before everyone else, or did they just correctly report info that was already out there? What I’ve found is that when they have a “scoop”, it’s usually overly sensationalistic and wrong.

Nobody here leaks intentionally, but unwitting folks on the ground near military bases sometimes do. This was the reason for the “loose lips sink ships” posters in WWII. I live in North Florida and we always know what’s going out (a lot starts from here). But I agree that maybe it would be better not to post it until it’s a done deal.
Except that the enemy probably already knows, since some Congressional or even Senatorial Dem has no doubt given them a heads-up. And surveillance has gotten so much better that the enemy probably knew about it practically before the airmen themselves did.
