In a presidential debate with nine candidates and one Beto ORourke on stage, its hard to stand out. So tonight, Hawaii Rep. Tulsi Gabbard leaned on her credentials as a military veteran and her reputation for restrained foreign policy, taking a hard stance on the Trump administration thats sure to stand out.
She said:
The president and his chicken hawk cabinet led us to the brink of war with Iran. I served in the war in Iraq at the height of the war in 2005, a war that took over 4,000 of my brothers and sisters in uniforms' lives. The American people need to understand this war would be far more devastating, far more costly than anything we saw in Iraq.

Must not of had hogs. Got hogs? No snakes, they taste like, wait everything must taste like chicken with hogs. I dont kill raptors or snakes, if they arent rattlesnakes. Bull, blow, and gartersnakes keep rattlesnakes out of my yard for the most part. Now clearing the snakes and hogs out of the Beltway in DC is going to be harder.
The hogs were in the hog lot, across the road. As I recall, the snake got macheted in the middle. The Hawks remained pets for some time. 1960s... May have predated any laws against it.
I believe she indicated in the debate that she was still active. Her military record is a plus, as is her desire to get out of Afghanistan, although Trump wants to do this too so it may not be a successful issue.
As far as her other liberal positions, she has taken the losing side (Dem). Also , she will not win the nomination. (Not nuts enough.)
no foreigners, especially ex hare Krishna
Amen!
How are we discussing a looney lefty in a manner that gives her any credit?
My dumb bell senator duckworth(less) also served, lost her legs and is still a worthless lefty with no clue. Oh and the vets detest her! Sigh
Dont for get to mention:
“The removal of 550 metric tons of “yellowcake” the seed material for higher-grade nuclear enrichment was a significant step toward closing the books on Saddam’s nuclear legacy. It also brought relief to U.S. and Iraqi authorities who had worried the cache would reach insurgents or smugglers crossing to Iran to aid its nuclear ambitions.”
:)
“All gave some, some gave all, it always been that way. I know a few in both groups. Dont mean Id recommend voting for me for anything.”
LOL... exactly.
“Hey Gabbard, are you stupid or are you deliberately trying to mislead the public? Trump DID NOT take us to war with Iran, in case you didnt notice. In fact he notched down the tensions a level or two with his decision to not respond to the Drone shooting with an attack that would inflict human casualties. On top of that, whether his cabinet is filled with Chicken Hawks or not is irrelevant. Trump makes the decisions, and as a result the Middle East is a much more peaceful place than it was under Obama. So dont pretend youre against escalation in the Middle East. If you were, youd be praising POTUS.”
My thoughts exactly, well said.
So in your tortured mind, you played it “safe”...by being in a submarine, running a nuclear reactor? Got it...lol
Once I went down in a diving bell type sub in Mexico. I learned I had a new kind of fear, being in a boat, underwater.
Boy youre all in
Did you exodus over Giuliani.....I cant remember..
JR is only gonna dig Tulsi love up to a point....a low threshold
Fair warning
Zot hawks will have you on their radar
She can’t be active anything military and be President.
Hey being 1000 or so deep didnt seem so bad at the time. Guys I knew from high school were humping in the boonies. I grew up in the heat and humidity of Missouri but crawling in the mud and living with rain beating on you seemed a more aggravating condition than what my recruiter told me Id be living. Besides my old man was 82nd airborne. Told me that sucked, the old guys I was working with were in WWII and said it didnt matter my girl friend would be just like I left her. Freshly ahh, never mind I still wouldnt vote for me.
Um the Iraq and Afghanistan Wars produced the lowest casualtie rates in the history of modern warfare and we never lost a single decisive engagement in either conflict not one time ever. The fact is head injuries and PTSD is being massively exploited in order to keep up the social engineering of our military that has it soften to point that it hinders our ability to defeat our enemies.
Ruining what future? Do you fully understand that enlisting in the military with a combat arms for a MOS entails more than just enjoying the perks of the GI Bill and other cool goodies? You’re going have to get your hands dirty if that means getting wounded or possibly killed that is the risk you take for the price of freedom and liberty as well enjoying the benefits of the military
While an honorable profession, Gabbard should clarify she isn't a combat vet.
Depends. If the enemy was shooting at her, that's combat, IMO. She "Came under fire" is the operative phrase, I believe.
Ah, but he had medals.
Post; thread BUMP!
