In a presidential debate with nine candidates and one Beto ORourke on stage, its hard to stand out. So tonight, Hawaii Rep. Tulsi Gabbard leaned on her credentials as a military veteran and her reputation for restrained foreign policy, taking a hard stance on the Trump administration thats sure to stand out.
She said:
The president and his chicken hawk cabinet led us to the brink of war with Iran. I served in the war in Iraq at the height of the war in 2005, a war that took over 4,000 of my brothers and sisters in uniforms' lives. The American people need to understand this war would be far more devastating, far more costly than anything we saw in Iraq.

“Whats her point?”
A chickenhawk is a term used by the left to describe Republicans who favor going to war but who never joined the military or who avoided service during a time of war. She is calling them hawkish cowards.
Tulsi Gabbard Tamayo was in fact awarded the CMB. Early on, when an enlisted member of Hawaii NG.
Beside they taste like seagulls

And I would be very interested to read the citation of a Meritorious Service Medal awarded to a Specialist with less than three years in the Army at the time."

The rules for receiving the CMB have changed. Considerably. In my day (VN) to receive the CMB, one had to be a medic assigned to an infantry unit. Those assigned to arty, aviation, etc. were ineligible to receive the CMB, even though many were in intensive combat. Such is no longer the case.
Note to self and others who may be interested....Nearly 6K NG’s and ER’s were KIA in Vietnam. Joining either Component was hardly a ticket out of combat...
A chickenhawk is a term used by the left
Not just by the left. Im a conservative but not a neoconservative. I consider a lot of the neocons to be chickenhawks
Um the Iraq and Afghanistan Wars produced the lowest casualtie rates in the history of modern warfare
What about the rate of amputations?
I was talking about Bushs Iraq War. Tulsi served in the Iraq War Nobody in Bush or Cheney families did. Heck, even one of the Queens grandsons served in the Afghanistan war. But nobody in Cheney or Bush family did
Not a big fan of the Bushes, but you need to go look at Bush Srs military record
I hear you. I was referring to W and Cheney. They sent us into Iraq - with none of their family signing up
Btw, it has been suggested/reported that Bush Sr urged W not to invade Iraq, but W was determined to establish his independence from his dad
Bush Srs Secretary of State, Baker, clearly said that invadingcIraq was a mistake
Learn to read. It’s fundamental.
You probably like a lazy #### read the first two line of what i wrote.
Go back.
And next time don’t type until you finish reading.
Bro, PLEASE don’t post to me anymore.
You talk ridiculously.
More than 100,000 troops with severe injuries, just because you’re not living the injuries doesnt’ mean they exist.
I HATE folks that think nothing of our soldiers’ lives after they are injured.
Good point, even though she can surf, she is unlikely to ever be president.
I detect some common sense in your post .
Operation McCall.

Both were hip deep in weapons they have been using against each other for a number of wars. We haven’t had the opportunity to investigate Iran as much, officially, but we know by shipments and testing they’ve got it. And the release of the funds by Obama and Clinton from locked down banks in Europe will insure they will have an active nuclear capacity in a few years. They already have the missiles to hit Israel or Iraq from Russia by way of North Korea and are actively building the Shahab-5 which is a three stage ICBM. We just “publicly” haven’t admitted the extent of any of it, really.

So — to confirm — everything you stated in post #30 was in fact about Iran?
