President Trump said Monday that he would fill a Supreme Court vacancy if it came up before the 2020 election — a reversal on his stance from the 2016 race. This comes weeks after Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky also appeared to change his mind and said that he, too, would fill a Supreme Court vacancy before the 2020 vote.
"Would I do that? Of course," Mr. Trump told The Hill in an interview when asked about filling a potential vacancy.
"If we could get him approved, I would definitely do it," he added. "No, I'd do it a lot sooner than that. I'd do it. If there were three days left, I'd put somebody up hoping that I could get 'em done in three days, OK?"

The Dems will go nuts if a vacancy comes up in 2020. The Kavanaugh hearings will seem tame in comparison.
Why NOT fill it if the opportunity comes up?! Does Sessions, or for that matter, Trump, think a democrap wouldn’t? Of course they would! I for one wouldn’t put it past a democrat to have a sitting Justice taken out, just so they WOULD have the chance to fill the seat (some think Scalia may have been just that, after all).
Am I supposed to be outraged? Saddned? Bewildered?

Of course, the supposed “custom” of not considering a nomination was when there was a Democrat Senate and a Republican President in his last lame duck year.
That is what Mitch McConnell repeated when he was the Majority Leader in Obama’s last lame duck year.
Currently, the party of the President holds the Senate and therefore it does not fall into the same category.

There is no question that if the democrats held the Senate that they would do the exact same thing.
I believe CBS News is misreporting the Republican position in 2016.
The difference between 2016 and 2020 election years is that the President is not a lame duck in 2020.
No reversal at all. He has the Senate. Obama did not.
In 2016 Obama was a lame duck. In 2020 Trump will not be a lame duck.
Merrick Garland would have been a USSC Justice if Obama could have found a way to do it. He didn’t play nice and not appoint him, he simply couldn’t maneuver it to happen. No reason for Republicans to play nice either. Ram it through if you have a chance to. In politics it is not how you play the game, it is WIN or go home with your tail between your legs, with catcalls of “SUCKERS” in your ears.

There is also some speculation that Scalia died at the hands of a teenage male prostitute, who was procured by DS Clowns for the purpose.

Suggesting that Scalia was homosexual, and also borderline pedophile? Seems like a bit of a stretch. Then again, the Swamp seems to be revealed to be ever deeper and more foul by the day...
