This is what I was wearing 23 years ago when Donald Trump attacked me in a Bergdorf Goodman dressing room. With those wordsand an accompanying imageon the cover of New York magazine, E. Jean Carroll, the longtime advice columnist for Elle, became at least the 22nd woman to accuse the president of the United States of sexual misconduct. The allegation features in an excerptpublished Friday, from Carrolls new bookabout the hideous men she says have assaulted her; that group also includes Les Moonves, the former CEO of CBS.
Despite the litany of claims against Trump, Carroll is only the second woman to publicly accuse him of rape. Her account is graphic and detailed; was corroborated by two friends who recall Carroll telling them about it at the time; and echoes what Trump told Billy Bush, in the Access Hollywood tape, about grabbing women by the pussy. Youd think, then, that it would have been a much bigger story over the weekend. Many commentators were furious that it was not.

The story been given the cover of a major magazine. Carroll subsequently has been given substantial air time, numerous interviews and an enormous amount of promotion on all the major networks.
The complaint, by CJR and Media Matters about not enough coverage is because Carrolls story did not make the front page of Saturdays New York Times, Wall Street Journal, LA Times, or Chicago Tribune. The complaint is that The Washington Post did put it on the front page, but did not lead with it.
MSNBCs Joy Reid said: In any other universe, in any other presidency, in any other news cycle [Carrolls allegations] would have been the lead story all week long.
They want no actual coverage of the story, no examination of the many inconsistencies and the almost certainty that the story is false.
They just want the allegations repeated over and over again with the hope that it will destroy President Trump.
Snooze alert engaged...
Too many false rape claims in the past few years means the public’s appetite for more false rape claims has significantly diminished.
NO ONE CARES!
I don’t know who is in charge of the DestroyTrump media, but they’re not doing a very good job. Nothing original, no creative thinking. They’re out of ideas.
I’m sure the Columbia Journalism Review would have the exact same level of concern regarding coverage of rape accusation against a Democrat president.
Nice try, propagandists, but you’re shooting blanks. No one believes this crap anymore, so quit wasting our time.
Joy should really have a chat with Juanita B; ASAP!
Maybe they could claim Trump colluded with the Russians to fix the election ...
Wait until her book tour hits Washington DC.
Tom Seaver.
Take Chico’s soap.
Never return.
(not diminishing rape, but this feels VERY blazy ford).
The lament for the false story flop.
Reminds of the joke when some sailors were stranded on an island with no women so they were having sex with goats, they all laughed when the last guy finally did it, he said, I knew you were fooling me, they said NO - you picked the ugliest goat.
She doesn’t even know what year it took place, but undoubtedly can tell you where she was when John Lennon was shot. I guess her made up story wasn’t very traumatic.
Since there isn't a Democrat who can count to eleven without taking off his/her/its shoes, her claims are a joke, or better, actionable slander, subject to a fine that will have her grandchildren living under a bridge...
Jon Allsop: Allsop’s Fables.
Its the Obama and Hillary show
More than likely a pile of Bullshit trying to sell a lousy book. Pathetic.
The left have become parodies of themselves.
In this case, this mannish looking old woman, saying look at me, this is what she looked like when Trump attacked her, sounds more like a comedy skit, than reality.

Any other presidency ? And you expect people to believe you?
